Mark Dankof: The Brexit Vote of June 23rd, 2016: A Temporary Setback for the New World Order or the Beginning of Its Unraveling?

   The Brexit vote in the UK on June 23, 2016 is the most promising beginning of a revolt against the New World Order and its Globalist Elite in my lifetime.

    Two things should be noted by all: First, the Globalist Media Consortiums were proven wrong about Brexit and voter support for it in Britain.

   The second point to be absolutely reiterated is the Elite’s panic over the developments of June 23rd. The UK Express Story of June 27th is but the latest example of their ruthless counter reactions to come.  They will stop at nothing to destroy this nationalist uprising in both Europe and the United States. This includes the deliberate manipulations of markets, money supply, exchange rates, and food supplies to convince the public to Return to Their Masters. It also means more False Flag operations to artificially stimulate fear accompanied by the concurrent Globalist Media Consortium and Hysterical Public demands for new Domestic Police State measures with the installation of more profiling and electronic surveillance without court warrants of peaceful populist, anti-globalist, anti-Zionist activists, parties, and movements.

     It also means renewed resolve on the part of the New World Order elite for a global war after the American Presidential Election in November.This will be accompanied by a declaration of martial law in the United States if this war transpires, the disarmament of the American public, and the suspension of Constitutional liberties and the Bill of Rights for those who exercise their lawful First Amendment right to protest and resist the Beast.

     The Brexit vote is only a beginning. In the United States, whose Political Elite comprises the backbone of the Beast’s Advancing System in America and its accompanying exportation of New World Order “Democracy“abroad,the Brexit vote in the UK must be followed by the ultimate achievement of the following goals of the American Populist Movement and the Real Right in this country: These include the termination of the Federal Reserve Board and a return of monetary policy to the Congress of the United States; and the termination of American involvement in NATO, the IMF, the World Bank, the Import-Export Bank, NAFTA, GATT, the FTAA, the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), and any future Globalist Trade Treaties designed to facilitate World Government. Control of American borders and the rejection of the agenda of the disastrous Immigration Reform Act of 1965 have to be included in this package.

     The recovery of American national sovereignty over its economy and the rejection of the targeted destruction of a once vibrant American Middle Class must be accompanied by the achievement of three (3) additional essential elements in restoring the Old American Republic:

     First 1): The blatantly un-Constitutional Domestic Police State advancements of the New World Order must be repealed. These include the USA Patriot Acts; the Military Commissions Act of 2006; the warrantless surveillance and data mining programs of the National Security Agency (NSA); and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The Transportation Safety Administration(TSA) needs to be terminated, along with the involvement of Israeli affiliated companies and individuals in both this agency, and every other agency of the American National Security Nexus. The use of Israeli training seminars for domestic American police departments must end, along with the known direct involvement of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai Brith (ADL) in working with Federal Law Enforcement and State Law Enforcement in profiling American citizens whose sole offense consists of lawfully opposing the hijacking of the country by our Globalist Masters.
Establishment of the Constitutional understanding of the lines of delineation between Federal and State Law Enforcement is an imperative in this context, as is the reinforcement of adherence to Posse Comitatus laws proscribing American military involvement in Domestic Law Enforcement. In this last regard, this priority should be especially obvious with the burgeoning Drone Strike technologies and what The Empire has already done with these technologies in the backyards of other people.

The Samson Option: The New World Order’s Endgame for the Middle East and the World?

     Second 2): The recovery of the Old Republic also involves the repudiation of the employment of the American Military as a Janissary Force for Israel, the Central Bankers, and the Multinational Corporate Elite. I have already mentioned the need for the United States to withdraw from NATO.  This must be accompanied by the cessation of the obvious attempts to militarize Eastern Europe and the southern underbelly of Putin’s Russia.  The illegitimate involvement of the United States in supporting the illegal coup d’etat in the Ukraine in February of 2014 and the Wahhabic Sunni terrorists in Libya and Syria must end, as must the pursuit of the Zionist threat to Iran, and all of the American military and intelligence operations in the Middle East designed to enforce the Sykes-Picot Treaty, the Balfour Declaration, and Bretton Woods. This includes most of what has been supported by the United States in the Middle East since 1948, including the acceleration of all of this since 9-11. In this regard, bringing the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) under the strictures of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, ending the role of Dual Citizens and Israeli linked companies in every branch of the American government, and repudiating the insane campaign finance policies of the Citizens United v FEC and McCutcheon v FEC decisions are critically important in regaining control of our own house. You may add to this the application of antitrust legislation to regulate the activities of
Corporate Media Conglomerates where legitimate, and the termination of the activities of the New World Order agenda in NGOs like that of the Open Society Foundation of George Soros and his ideological ilk.

The Zionist/NWO Alliance with the Frankfurt School and the LGBT Agenda: Destroying the Christian West, Russia, and the Islamic World With Cancer.

     Third 3): American Old Right Populists must regain the initiative in the Culture Wars catastrophically lost in the last half century. It is essential to understand that a true rejection of the economic and political agenda of the minions of the New World Order must be accompanied by a rejection of the agenda of Cultural Subversion deployed by these people to deliberately target and destroy the moral and spiritual fiber of those who would otherwise constitute the constituency of Massive Resistance to their Game Plan for both the United States and the world at large. I am referring here to the Freudian Psychotherapeutic Minions of the Frankfurt School’s Institute for Social Research, and their targeted sexual defoliation of this country by Hollywood, the Will and Grace and Oprah Winfrey crowd in the American television industry, the Helen Gurley Browns of the Womens Magazine industry, the pornographers in the image of Al Goldstein and his Screw magazine empire of a generation ago, the LGBT hijacking of American culture which culminated in the Obergefell v Hodges Supreme Court decision of a year ago, and the insidious advancements of the abortion industry via the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision of January of 1973. In regard to a total macrocosmic evaluation of these matters, it is legitimate to see the advancement of the Culture of Death as more than the mere pacification and disarmament of those who otherwise would resist the New World Order. Along with the Empire’s global military expeditions, this domestic agenda for the Cultural Subversion of formerly sovereign nation-states is designed to subvert, divert, destroy, and kill millions physically, even as it destroys the religious, moral, and spiritual resistance and autonomy of those who should be resisting the arrival of the most evil World System ever seen in world history. The understanding of the tragedy of what has happened in the United States is understood by President Putin of Russia and the present leadership of Iran. The recovering of understanding in the United States and Western Europe is the only hope the West has. It may be too late. Time and history will tell.

Vladimir Putin of Russia:  Can He Defend His Nation Against The New World Order’s Toxic Brew of External NATO Military Threats and Economic/Cultural Subversion From Within?

     Time and history will reveal whether the Brexit vote of June 23rd will reveal a longer term string of victories for the recovery of Western Civilization or only a mere tactical gain by those who resist the Beast in a just and righteous cause already lost in the United States and Western Europe.  My own evaluation of the prospect of the recovery of Western Civilization in the 21st Century is decidedly pessimistic. I pray I’m proven wrong. In any event, I maintain my internal peace by my faith in the love, grace, and sovereign control of time and history by the Biblical God who has revealed Himself and his future Kingdom in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This Kingdom is eternal and supplants all earthly kingdoms and empires. John’s Apocalypse written on Patmos during his exile tells us this. Hence we await whatever comes in our lives with confidence in God’s deliverance in a time of His choosing. For the Christian informed by Biblical Eschatology, the roadmap is one of absolutely evil political, social, economic, military, and spiritual developments between now and the Second Coming of Christ.  For those living in a post-Christian West, it may well be the case that the Confessing Church of Christ will be comprised of a persecuted, marginalized remnant operating underground as a believing community encouraging the Lord’s people in the midst of deception, persecution, economic catastrophes, and global conflict (Matthew 24).  Only God absolutely knows if we are living in the final days of this present cosmos.  But the signs seem suggestive.

My feelings about the irresponsible character of American and NATO policy vis a vis Vladimir Putin and Russia are a matter of public record.  One can go back to my essay entitled, “America the Beautiful:  Why We’re Finished” to review my published remarks several years ago on the machinations of the United States in this regard. I have also touched upon this briefly in my recently published remarks on the Brexit vote now reposted at Al Jazeerah, in occasional conversations with Press TV, and in previous work with both Patrick Slattery on RBN radio and you in a recent publish on Veterans Today.

My feelings are apparently shared by Mr. Putin himself.  The Russian government has quite rightly began moving against the NGO’s linked to George Soros and other well-heeled subversives in the largely Jewish Tribal establishment promoting the toxic brew of Zionism, Central Banking, and Cultural Marxism which has completely enveloped the West and destroyed the older European Christian influences of both Europe and the United States eradicated by both World Wars in the 20th century and their aftermath. The economic sanctions, cultural subversion, and hourly global agitation-propaganda campaign aimed at the Putin regime and the Russian nation are now joined by the methodologies of black intelligence operations in places like Ukraine in February of 2014, and the overt military threat posed by the continued deployment of NATO and American military assets in Eastern Europe ever closer to Russian borders, augmented by the ongoing recruitment of countries on the Russian periphery for membership in NATO, including overtures to Montenegro, Ukraine, and Georgia.  Given the specifics of Article V of the NATO charter, and the clear possibility of Russian military activity to legitimately protect their own backyard, the spectre of the likelihood of a NATO and American military conflict with Russia is made even more probable by these provocative and unjustifiable moves which have nothing to do with the Cold War doctrine of deterrence.  The Guardian’s post on the recent Anaconda 2016  NATO war games in Poland, and the recent switching on of the U. S. ballistic missile shield in Deveselu, Romania, have brought the breaking of Bush 41’s promises to Gorbachev and the later unilateral American cancellation of the provisions of the ABM treaty to an entirely new level of dishonesty and recklessness.

My perspective on this and that of the Russian President and his Foreign Minister is shared by a number of other people.  I would commend Eric Margolis’ “War With Russia is Coming.”  Ex-CIA Station Chief and head of the Council for the National Interest, Dr. Philip Giraldi, has a July 13th release for Pat Buchanan’s The American Conservative entitled, “Russian Harassment and Other Fables.”   Dr. Giraldi’s post for The Unz Review on June 28th, “The Magnitsky Hoax?  Who Stole the Money?” adds to the mix. All of these gentlemen underscore two essential ingredients inherent in American and NATO policy where Russia is concerned:  Duplicity and absolute madness.  The Parry piece notes the absolutely Orwellian character of the recent Warsaw Summit Communique of the Western powers which condemn “Russian aggression” by noting the non-existent intelligence data and supporting analysis for the mantras of the Communique which repristinate memories of the Weapons of Mass Destruction fraud in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the constant glossalalia of top officials of NATO and American Neo-Conservatives on the subject of Putin and Russia, and the incessant drone of falsehoods repeated daily in the lapdog mainstream Western media.

He states unequivocally:

“The leaders – at least the key ones – know that there is no credible intelligence that Russian President Vladimir Putin provoked the Ukraine crisis in 2014 or that he has any plans to invade the Baltic states, despite the fact that nearly every ‘important person’ in Official Washington and other Western capitals declares the opposite of this to be reality.

“But there have been a few moments when the truth has surfaced. For instance, in the days leading up to the just-completed NATO summit in Warsaw, General Petr Pavel, chairman of the NATO Military Committee, divulged that the deployment of NATO military battalions in the Baltic states was a political, rather than military, act.

“It is not the aim of NATO to create a military barrier against broad-scale Russian aggression, because such aggression is not on the agenda and no intelligence assessment suggests such a thing,” Pavel told a news conference.

“What Pavel blurted out was what I have been told by intelligence sources over the past two-plus years – that the endless drumbeat of Western media reports about ‘Russian aggression’ results from a clever demonization campaign against Putin and a classic Washington ‘group think’ rather than from a careful intelligence analysis.”

Mark Dankof on Vladimir Putin of Russia: Does This Look Like a Man Who Will Fail to Defend His Country’s Sovereignty and Borders?

It is critical to understand that the lies and agitation-propaganda being spun by the official American governmental and media narrative on who the aggressor and malefactor is in the present crisis mirrors the official line on how 9-11 happened and who was responsible for bringing it about.  It mirrors the official line on American Neo-Conservative and Zionist untruth about Iran and the historical tragedies in the American relationship with that country since 1953.  It mirrors the falsehoods of the United States and Israel about what really happened in Palestine in the late 1940s.  It mirrors the official lies perpetrated about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the Kennedy Assassination. For that matter, one can reach farther back in the linear historical stream to the official line perpetrated on Abraham Lincoln and the American War Between the States held so dear by American Neo-Conservatives and Lovers of Empire.

Mr. Putin’s frustration with the duplicity of the United States and NATO is compounded by the inherent madness in the direction taken by the West in all of this.  This comes forth very clearly in the brief clip of his airing of frustrations aimed at the Western media after the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum of June 17th. What is breathtaking is their full participation not simply in the lies, but in their stupefying failure to see the slope toward world war and apocalypse obviously steepening in the continued pushing of the envelope by the United States, NATO, and the EU in making global conflict and some form of nuclear exchange likely.  And over what?  It certainly isn’t the legitimate national defense of the United States and Western Europe.  It has everything to do with the ongoing exportation of a brand of coercive globalism and World Government which threaten Russian autonomy as a sovereign nation-state free of the tentacles of the Beast. The implication may well be that failure to subdue the Bear by economic sanctions, demonization, and cultural subversion, will leave overt military aggression as the weapon of final resort.

Duplicity is more than matched by literal madness and insanity.  Does the American Cabal of Empire and New World Order truly believe Russia will fail to defend its national honor, history, culture, autonomy, and homeland from this unfolding onslaught?  Has The Cabal and its fawning paid agents in the Western media forgotten that Russia, unlike Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, and Iran, is a nuclear power with a bona fide army and navy to match? Putin’s directed remarks to foreign correspondents on June 17th in St. Petersburg underscore his disbelief in the Pavlovian dogs of Western media.  The tone of his voice, his facial intonations and body language give special power to the desperately heartfelt statements in that press conference, like “I don’t know how to get through to you people.  . . . How do you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction?  . . .“

This “irreversible direction” can only be reversed by a wholesale domestic American and European revolt against The Cabal.  It has not yet happened despite the wholesale destruction of the demographic, economic, cultural, spiritual, and political fortunes of millions in the West in the last 100 years of history.  What remains to be seen is whether or not the threat of fire raining down on European and American cities will be enough to produce sufficient will and resolve to resist the tyranny of The Cabal and the seemingly irreversible and insane course it has charted toward cataclysm, or whether the Culture of Death and the nihilism produced by that culture for those entrapped in addictions to sexual decadence, drugs, and worship of technology will render meaningful resistance impossible.

Solzhenitsyn seems ominously prophetic when he tells us that “We are approaching the brink; already a universal spiritual demise is upon us; a physical one is about to flare up and engulf us and our children, while we continue to smile sheepishly and babble.“

     The message I knew would arrive came this last Thursday afternoon from Pastor Dale Crowley’s grandson:  “Mark, my Granddad will be with the Lord in the next 24 hours.  You are the only connection I have to his past.”  On Friday night, the prophetic perception of the first message was confirmed: “Granddad went to be with the Lord at 11: 50 pm [Eastern].”

The final chapter together in this life in North Carolina.

     It is difficult putting into words my feelings about a great personal friend and mentor whose life and accomplishments shall continue to resonate in the memories I have of him in our joint broadcasting ventures on my old RBN show after his days at WFAX-Washington, D. C. were cruelly preempted, as well as through our personal conversations and letter exchanges in the last 18 months of his life, and his constant provisions of books and articles that came my way over the years. Prior to the last chapter of his earthly life, he had sold his longtime family home in Virginia outside Washington, D. C., to relocate himself and his beloved wife besieged by dementia, Mary Henderson Crowley, to an assisted living facility in North Carolina. I will always remember calling him one night at his home in Virginia to obtain an update, fortuitously discovering he had sold the place and was departing the next morning for good.  I had reached him in the nick of time. His missionary son was back from Cambodia and answered the phone, putting his father on the line for our usual great conversation about the closing of a chapter in his life, and the opening of what would be the last chapter before eternal glory with Christ.

     In thinking about his unwavering faithfulness and confidence in the Triune God in the midst of overwhelming sadness at his wife’s illness, the loss of his Virginia home, and the end of his long saga as a Washington-based radio broadcaster and writer, the Gospel of John, chapter 21, verses 18-19 comes to mind.  The Lord reminds Peter there of the death the latter will suffer, and the reason why:  “‘I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.’  Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.  Then he said to him, ‘Follow me.’“

     In Dale’s case, one of the letters to follow from North Carolina would underscore how rough the final journey through the final chapter would prove to be along the way. He wrote:

     “Please pardon our silence.  These have been hard times for Dale and Mary.  But we don’t want to let the calamities of the past year and a half prevent us from keeping in touch with our dear friends and family.  (‘Calamity’ is an important Bible word, occuring around 25 times.  Look it up with a good concordance.)

     “Why calamities?  There was a good reason God allowed Satan to visit Job with terrible calamities.  Still, we cry out to God, ‘Why?’

     “Someday . . . sooner or later we’ll understand ‘Why?’  Mary’s Alzheimers/Dementia increased in severity about 18 months ago.  That led to a fall, breaking a leg bone (the femur, near the hip), resulting in permanent confinement to a wheelchair.

     “A year later, a dangerous cancer was found in my colon.  It was healed miraculously through prayer, the healing power of God, essiac, laetrile, essential oils, and 28 radiation treatments. (They all work together.)

     “Only a few weeks later, 9 small strokes hit me, requiring hospitalization and rehabilitation.  Praise God, I am just about back to normal. . . .

          “Please pray for Dale, Jr. and Mary Crowley.  After a lifetime of work for our Lord in His harvest fields at home and abroad, it is not easy coping with the calamities of old age.  We are not alone, of course.  . . . Our Lord promised never to leave us.  We thank God for family and friends.

     “Please pray that we will have God’s love and care and grace.  Even the Psalmist prayed,’God, don’t forget me when I am old and grayheaded (Psalm 71:18).’“

     “Sincerely, hoping for your love and care in Christ Jesus our Lord, Dale.”

     Christian News readers should be fully acquainted by now with the life of Dale Crowley, his service as a Reformed Baptist missionary in Japan, his past as a member of the Asian Languages department at the University of Hawaii, and most especially the facts and many of the implications to be inferred from what happened to him at WFAX-1220 AM in Washington, D. C in early 2006 .  For those uninitiated, you may access Crowley’s Spotlight on Israel, linked to both of his radio shows, “The King’s Business” and “Focus on Israel” at http://crowleysspotlightonisrael.com/. Another late friend, the legendary Michael Collins Piper, penned the story for the American Free Press of March 20, 2006 in an article entitled, “Thought Cops Tell Evangelist No More Talk of Israel on Air.”  It is available online to this day on the Rense site at http://www.rense.com/general69/shh.htm under the title, “Christian Radio Host Fired for Criticizing Israel.” That fine and accurate story makes reference to “heavy handed pressure brought to bear on WFAX” to end both of the Pastor’s shows of 20 years standing on the prominent Christian broadcasting outlet in the Nation’s Capitol.

     Piper noted then that: “The un-American thought police operating on American soil have struck once again. This time their victim is veteran Christian evangelist Dale Crowley, Jr., who has been the host of two popular radio programs broadcast over WFAX 1220 AM-radio in the Washington area for the last 20 years.

     “Crowley was told by Doris Newcomb, president and general manager of WFAX, that his Saturday morning broadcast, ‘Focus on Israel,’ was terminated immediately.  He was not even given an opportunity to bid farewell to his longtime listeners.

     “The program was canceled by the WFAX management because supporters of Israel had complained to the radio station about Crowley’s criticisms of Israel.”

     But who were these “supporters of Israel?“  And what may be inferred from the identification of some of the key players in the usual Zionist political and media monolith whose tentacles have enshrouded virtually all of “Christian” print and broadcasting outlets in the United States?

     Dale Crowley and I had a number of late afternoon and evening conversations in his final days about the WFAX AM-1220 episode.  We both concluded the affair can only be understood in light of eschatological deception and the death of the American Republic. After he provided me with a graph which traced the identification of some of the players in his termination with arrows drawing some links in the spider web, I would write him a letter in April of 2015.  This letter provided him with more dots to connect in both of our lives over many years.The text of that communication was as follows:

It has been a joy to have reached you twice by phone recently, including seven days ago when you reported the miraculous disappearance of the colon cancer. It is especially interesting that your reprieve from this health malady coincides with the Easter 2015 health report of Lutheran pastor Bill Larson up in Tacoma, who introduced me to radio at KGNW AM 82 Seattle in the 1980s with his Mission America show. Bill’s diagnosed case of heart failure in December has now inexplicably disappeared, just like your cancer. The doctors are baffled.

Even more curious to me is another intersection of people, times and circumstances: Your situation with the WFAX-AM/Washington, D. C. termination of your “Focus on Israel” show courtesy of the pressure of the National Religious Broadcasters on WFAX, and the spider web network of interlocking relationships of the Zionist-driven consortiums and players that includes Salem Communications (Epperson), Xulon Press (Freiling), Crosswalk (Salem subsidiary, Falwell, Liberty U.), Tim La Haye, and Olasky’s World magazine, is eerily reminiscent of what happened to Bill Larson and me at KGNW AM 82/Seattle when Mission America lost a pending national syndication agreement and contract right after a sinister political contact with me was made by a man with the usual connections that have plagued both of us over time.

Who comprises the New World Order? Has it infiltrated Christian Media in America?

As you will recall, Marvin Stern, the Regional Director of the Anti Defamation League of B’nai Brith in Seattle at the time (1988), invited me to a private luncheon where it was clear to me I was being tested for possible use as a friendly Zionist source in the Pacific Northwest. My placement at KGNW AM 82/Seattle, and my role as the newly elected 36th Legislative District Chairman of the Republican Party in King County/Seattle (courtesy of a deal between Pat Robertson, Jack Kemp, and George H. W. Bush forces in the Washington State Republican Party which included Della Newman, a multi-millionaire real estate magnate in Seattle who later became the U. S. Ambassador to New Zealand), had apparently resulted in a file being opened on me at ADL headquarters in New York as a possibly friendly asset (They had a negative one at that time on Ted Pike and his National Prayer Network which I was shown at the ADL/Seattle meeting, with certain information deleted in my copy. Pike and I discussed all of this many years later).

Marvin Stern and I were joined by a Terry Moore of the pro-Zionist Bridges for Peace organization [Moore and I were both graduates of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois but had never met before], the nefarious Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Jan Van Der Hoeven of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, and a handful of Rabbis whose names I never learned. The entire afternoon was creepy. I sensed demonic influence at work and was extremely guarded, but courteous. That night, I showed up as a quiet observer at a big Pentecostal gathering for Eckstein and Van Der Hoeven at a Holiday Inn in Renton (South Seattle). The whole thing was a combination of propaganda, worship circus, and fund raiser for the State of Israel. It was a terrifying thing to witness. The Satanic deception in this mass audience was apparent. I slipped out the back door. Stern of ADL never contacted me again. I have followed Eckstein’s nefarious career closely but from afar,in all the years since.

It was in this time frame that I learned much about Congressman Jack Kemp, and the forces really behind his career, and in his organization in Seattle. Kemp and his entourage began to keep a healthy distance from me when I didn’t pass the ADL preliminary examination in 1988. As God would have it, this was all in the time frame when I began to read things about the Pollard spy case and the USS Liberty attack of 1967 in Herman Otten’s Christian News. The foundation was being laid for what I would subsequently come to understand in working for the two Buchanan campaigns in Texas in the 1990s, my time with Howard Phillips and his Constitution Party from 1996-2004, and the post 9-11 time frame both in Philadelphia and upon my return to Texas in March of 2006. I kept learning more. I kept reading more. The more I read, the worse the implications became.

The only other gathering of the type I witnessed in Seattle/Renton with Eckstein and Van Der Hoeven was a neo-Pentecostal worship circus at the American Association of Lutheran Churches (AALC) National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota at Northwestern College in 1990, put on by some Christian Zionist, Neo-Pentecostal types masquerading as Lutherans, and with connections to C. Peter Wagner’s Fuller Seminary/Pasadena Institute for Church Growth. This latter fact has become abundantly more significant to me now. Bedros Hajian of Armenian TV in Los Angeles and I did a recent show on the occultic Pentecostal movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), which evolved from the G-12 Movement in Colombia. C. Peter Wagner is a major player in this New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement. . . .. It has really infiltrated the Christian Zionist movement and has gotten close to many of the key Neo-Conservative types in the Republican Party like Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, and Michelle Bachmann. George W. Bush actually appeared at a fundraiser for the NAR-affiliated Messianic Jewish Bible Institute in Dallas. What is the glue that holds all these heretical, occultic threads and actors together? I list extra-Biblical revelation, the attendant notion that the offices of Prophet and Apostle exist today, demonically inspired “signs and wonders”, the Scofield Reference Bible eschatology, apostate conclusions about the Kingdom of God, and who and what truly constitutes the Israel of God for the New Testament believer.

I am absolutely convinced that a most fascinating research project would be comparing the forces behind the end of your radio ministry at WFAX/Washington, mine as a junior broadcaster and guest recruiter at KGNW AM 82/Seattle, and the multiplicity of names, organizations, interlocking networks, and money trails actually at work in both situations. The key is the National Religious Broadcasters and Salem Communications (Salem Media Group): KGNW AM82/Seattle is now owned–you guessed it–by Salem Communications/Salem Media Group. All of this information is right on the KGNW web page. Epperson’s name is prominently splashed there. But it gets worse: I just found out through a search of a Salem Communications/Salem Media Group profile listed by the Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC), that on January 10, 2014, Salem acquired the Regnery/Eagle publishing consortium, which includes Human Events. The editor of the latter for years was Thomas S. Winter. That once fine newspaper’s direction for a number of years in a Neo-Conservative, pro-Zionist, almost Fox News orientation, had become very clear to me. Apparently, that has now been set in stone with the Salem acquisition.

I have been re-reading your book, “On the Wrong Side of Just About Everything, But Right About it All,” and your letter to me of August 18, 2007 from Berryville (on your 57th wedding anniversary). Your theological analysis of Dispensationalism, the sage advice of Dr. James R. Graham in spring 1952, and the application of the principles in understanding the direction a doomed American Empire is taking us, especially since September 11th, 2001, are spot on. Your analysis, and that of the late Princeton/Westminster sage, O. T. Allis, in “The Church and Prophecy” (1945), tell the tale of the tape. I conclude that the Dispensational heresies on covenants, the nature of the Kingdom of God, the identity of the Israel of God today, and eschatology are absolutely critical in understanding the nature of the eschatological heresy Jesus warned us of in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24). I’m convinced the nature of the deception Jesus reiterates throughout that chapter is the modern Dispensationalist-Zionist heresy, and its wedding to the globalist/futurist New World Order articulated by John in the Apocalypse penned on Patmos during the reign of Domitian. Even many non-Dispensationalists do not recognize this. You do, and have, for many more years than I.

So our recent conversations have spurred me to much reflection on the past and presents of our respective lives. I’m beginning the process of writing a book on my own progress over decades in understanding what you grasped before I. It will cover decades. The outline of the key events will be as follows [the outline will enable us to carry on future phone chats on anything along the timeline]. It’s all preliminary in formulation. . . .

I think often of my years in Hawaii and yours, my years in Washington and yours, yet our paths crossed only through Otten’s Christian News and RBN radio show chats in 2007. God is indeed mysterious. . . . By the way, Christian News had the equivalent of their Hall of Fame published in the last 18 months or so. It is entitled, “Soldiers of the Cross.” It is some compendium of God’s special workers and saints. You and I made the list–complete with photos. I’m not kidding!

I’ll call again this coming week. Pray for me. I shall pray for you and Mary. Mark Glenn continues to handle the situation you are aware of. He asked me to ask you to pray for the firewood crisis they are encountering. He has cut firewood to get the family through Idaho winters near the Canadian border year after year. They store the wood in storage sites on his property. Having a full time guest on the property has led to much greater consumption of the reserve. Mark may even have to buy firewood he can’t cut enough of with the increased demand. . . . It is serious, as are a number of other factors you are aware of.

Final thought: If you have access to a good computer and Skype, and would be interested in sharing your witness and wealth of insights to the right audience, I believe Bedros Hajian of Armenian TV and the Armenian-owned International Christian Family Network (IFCN) in Los Angeles would be interested in using you and me occasionally to cover items and subjects of compelling interest.      We have been privileged today to have two (2) fine presentations by Pastor Erickson and Pastor Spears. Pastor Erickson’s summation on The Early Church and the Need for Continuing Reform is an excellent overview of centuries of church history from Pentecost to the Protestant Reformation.  I especially value his repristination of a list of ancient heresies similar to my own presentation in Indianapolis in 1996, since those challenges to orthodox Biblical and Creedal theology continue to reappear in various forms and guises over time, especially in this 21st century milieu of heresy and apostasy in which the Remnant Confessing Church of Christ finds itself, especially in a post-Christian Western World which includes our own United States.

Pastor Ralph Spears of Indianapolis, Indiana presents a paper on the Reformers and the Martyrs at the LMS-USA Conference in 2017.

     Pastor Spears’ presentation of The Reformers underscores the character of key figures in the 16th century and their traits which mirror Biblical reformers throughout redemptive history.  As he reminds us there, “Reformers are people of faith who lived and were willing to ‘lay down their lives for their conviction of faith.'” We will shortly see how the theme of Martyrdom in both of these fine discussions appears again in what I am about to share with the faithful people of Christ Lutheran Church in Chetek, Wisconsin from John’s Apocalypse (Revelation 2: 8-11).

     Let me say at the outset that we will not be discussing the dreadful developments in the Lutheran Church specifically and the American Church generally which have been sufficiently covered in previous conferences.  I will simply state again that in my lifetime, as American culture and life continues its precipitous downturn into the bottomless abyss, our own denominational tradition and affiliation has degenerated into an absurd dialectic between the apostate universalists, higher critical cynics, and Cultural Marxists on the left, and a compendium of isolationists and sectarians on the right for whom the use of the term evangelical is tragi-comic.  In the left-right dialectic in American Lutheranism today, rampant institutional political power struggles and pathology on both ends of the spectrum are strikingly identical.  The proclamation of the Gospel and Biblical teaching and instruction often seem but an afterthought, where everyday ministry to those starved for the Word, proclamation of forgiveness of sin in Jesus Christ and His love to all who believe, historic worship, and evangelical outreach and vision, are all too often lost in the shuffle of business-as-usual.  Jeremiah described this very sort of scene in the 6th century B. C. context of disaster which had befallen Jerusalem and ancient Judah as the Babylonian Exile and Temple Destruction unfolded:  “Her gates have sunk into the ground; He has ruined and broken her bars; her kings and princes are among the nations; the law is no more, and her prophets find no vision from the Lord.” (Lamentations 2: 9)

     If this looks increasingly like the unfolding and impending state of the American Empire and Church it should.  The hour is increasingly late (Matthew 24).

     Where does all of this leave the Believing Remnant of the Confessing Church of Christ?  Put more directly this afternoon, where does this leave you and I as a part of such a fellowship and movement?  Where is God in all of this for you and me?  Where are his promises?  Where is hope for the present and the future? How does he provide for the Remnant when none of the present circumstances in history are favorable to our sustenance and survival?

     It is these questions to which we shall now turn.  The key prototypical Confessing Church for our purposes today is the Church of Smyrna in Asia Minor during John’s exile on Patmos courtesy of the edict of Emperor Domitian of Rome (AD 81-96). As already read, our text is Revelation 2: 8-11.

     It is noteworthy that the exile of the Apostle was due to his refusal to acquiesce to the demands of the Roman Emperor that Domitian be venerated and worshiped as the virtual incarnation of God on earth.  Put slightly differently, John understood what was Caesar’s, and what belongs to Christ alone.  For that faith and confessional witness, he found himself in the Roman penal colony on Patmos, an island 4×8 miles in the Aegean Sea, 50 miles southwest of Turkey.  It is identically noteworthy that Smyrna (modern Izmir) was closely aligned with the Roman Empire and had a large, active, and hostile Jewish population in open hostility to the Gospel (see Romans 2: 28-29; Matthew 26: 57-27:44; Revelation 3:9 to the Church of Philadelphia). Confessing faith and witness in this context often led to incarceration and/or death.

     My counsel and admonition to all of us who are Remnant Believers today:  It is not hyperbole to understand and acknowledge the evidence of increasing hostility to the Gospel in a post-Christian America and Western World in the 21st century, accompanied by lawlessness, decadence, perversion, blasphemy, violence, deception and societal disintegration on a breathtaking scale.  The Satanic forces in play are reminiscent of those between 81-96 A. D. during the reign of Domitian.  The challenge to us is the same challenge posited to the Church of Smyrna, but so are the reassuring provisions of God to His people that underscore His sovereign control of events in history, and His love of those who are faithful.  The key point is this:  God’s people are entering what is eschatologically the most dangerous period in all of linear time and redemptive history (Heilsgeschichte).  We must be prepared for any contingency thrust upon us by Satan and the world.  But nothing can separate the believer from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 31-39).

     Let me emphasize four (4) points from the Apocalpyse in today’s conversation about the assurances of God to the Israel of God, the Confessing Church of Christ, throughout time.

     The first (1) is this:  God provides for His people through select individuals who accomplish the Lord’s purposes for those purchased with the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Pastor Spears’ presentation and overview illustrated some key people throughout history who carried out God’s directives to provide for and nurture those otherwise in isolation and despair in a hostile world.  Look at the way in which the Word of the Lord during the persecution of believers during Domitian’s reign continues to be proclaimed through the selection of the Apostle John (Revelation 1: 1-3) on Patmos to reveal mysteries and reassure the People of God.  Tellingly, John states in 1:9 that, “I John, your brother and partner in the tribulation, and the kingdom, and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus.”

     How much plainer can it be? Although we have no living Apostles or inspired writers of Scripture in our midst today, God continues to provide brothers and partners in the trials and tribulations of our lives as believers in this darkening age and world.  These brothers and partners are also ours not simply in trials and tribulations, but in the Kingdom of God both present and future.  Just look around this classroom. I recognize people here who joined me in the uphill fight to preserve the Biblical faith in our tradition over 30 years ago.  Among those in that category, I’m unbelievably the youngest one of the 4 still left and who still perseveres alongside these men.  Because of their faithfulness to the Gospel and their enduring friendships with me, I’ve been encouraged to continue when the temptation to give it up in these last 3 decades intensified.  Because I continued by the grace and provision of God alone, I’ve come to know many of the rest of you who have attended these conferences for 22 years now.  We are brothers and sisters in the trials and tribulations present and future.  Can we be any more blessed than this?

     Mysteriously, we possess the Kingdom of  God now, and yet not completely until the return of the Lord.  And how we presently possess the inspired, inerrant, inscripturated Word of God of the Prophets and Apostles, including John right now in our midst, assuring us of blessings present and future through Christ! This empowers God’s humble people, such as all of us gathered here in Wisconsin today, to rejoice in the midst of sorrow, to be confident in the midst of unspeakable trials and discouragements, and to have the faith which comes only from the Holy Spirit of God. Forget the numbers game of the Church Growth Movement in America.  Jettison the “Health, Wealth, and Prosperity” philosophies of the televangelists and the worship fads of an American Church that looks more like the world of sin, the flesh, and Satan with each passing week.  Embrace the joy of the Biblical Gospel, worship in continuity with the Confessing Church of Christ of the Ages, read and take to heart the Lutheran Confessions and what they affirm about sin and salvation only in Christ.  And be confident that God has not forgotten his Remnant People wherever they may be, as He has numbered the very hairs on our heads and has our names written in the Book of Life.

     The second truism (2) is this:  God works through select groups of remnant believers throughout the trials and tribulatons of His people in the midst of hostile societies, natural disasters, wars and rumors of war, and upswings in Satanic activity throughout human history.  When we look for a select group of remnant believers in the past to serve as a prototype to be emulated by faithful Christians today in the midst of the perils of the 21st century, we need look no further than the Church of Smyrna.  What characterized this Confessing Church in the all seeing eyes and all knowing mind of our Lord Jesus Christ?  He states that, “I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a Synagogue of Satan.”  (Revelation 2:9)

(Οἶδά σου τὴν θλῖψιν καὶ τὴν πτωχείαν ἀλλὰ πλούσιος εἶ καὶ τὴν βλασφημίαν ἐκ τῶν λεγόντων
Ἰουδαίους εἶναι ἑαυτούς καὶ οὐκ εἰσίν ἀλλὰ συναγωγὴ τοῦ Σατανᾶ.)

     The characteristics of the Confessing Church of Smyrna are thus clearly discernable, as are the characteristics of the Remnant in historical and eschatological times of political, cultural, moral, economic, and theological disturbances which seek to devour those who are Christ’s and Christ’s alone.  There was and will be tribulation (θλῖψιν). There was and will be slander (βλασφημίαν) against God’s people until the end of linear time and redemptive history.  These slanders emanating from the Synagogue of Satan (συναγωγὴ τοῦ Σατανᾶ) are to be understood as a phenomenon manifested in both the 1st century and the 21st (see Romans 2: 28-29 and Dr. E. Michael Jones’ The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and its Impact in World History for the enumeration of the context of Revelation 2:9).  

     And yet with all of these sobering facts and developments, the Lord reminds the Church of Smyrna, and our gathering here today, that we are yet rich (ἀλλὰ πλούσιος εἶ ) ! The world cannot know this richness, because it cannot know Jesus.  The world cannot know this richness, which can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit of God to the believer (I Corinthians 12:3).  Only the believer can possess all that is contained in this spiritual richness, juxtaposed in this case with worldly richness, and understand that tribulation, slander, and economic poverty cannot separate he or she from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8: 31-39).  This is the faith that leads to eternal life. This is the faith that remains when Emperors and Empires fade away in the twilight of time and space, be it the Babylonian version, the Medo-Persian version, the Greek version, the Roman version, or the American version as the years pass in this 21st Century.

     And make no mistake.  There is no doctrine of American exceptionalism here to the Biblical principles that have governed Empires and Nations from Genesis to Revelation to the present.

     The third truism (3) is this:  The Remnant Confessing Church that is poor but rich, sets a foundation for many fruits to be made manifest in the future glorification of God and the proclamation of His kingdom in Christ.  In the case of the Church of Smyrna of the 1st century, its foundation produced the 2nd century Bishop of Smyrna, Polycarp (A. D. 69-155).  He is regarded as one of the 3 chief Apostolic Fathers in history, along with Clement of Rome and Ignatius of Antioch.  It is no accident or coincidence of history that the name Polycarp literally means, “much fruit.” A disciple of the Apostle John, and ordained by him as a Bishop, we must turn to 3 primary sources for information about this embodiment of witness to the Crucified and Risen Christ whose life and death continue to resonate now, even as I speak.  These 3 sources are 1) The Martyrdom of Polycarp, a circular letter composed by the Church of Smyrna and distributed to the churches of Pontus; 2) Irenaeus’ Against Heresies, which I first encountered in my first year of theological study in California almost 40 years ago; and Polycarp’s Letter to the Philippians.

     Let’s cut to the chase here.  If the issues of Emperor Worship and oppression of the Christian in the 21st century Western World’s Central States increasingly looks like the ideological matrix that exiled John to Patmos and executed Polycarp, can we envision ourselves having to make the ultimate choice of Christ or Caesar, Christ or Antichrist, under penalty of death for an evangelical confession and proclamation of faith?

     The subject of martyrdom came up in a systematic theology course I was taking in suburban Chicago years ago under Dr. Paul D. Feinberg at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.  The question of Martyrdom for the Faith was under intense scrutiny and examination one particular day and lecture.  I can’t say to anyone that I thought I was brave enough then–or now–to follow in the footsteps of Polycarp or any of the other martyrs for Christ.  I will say to all of us here what Dr. Feinberg told me then in response to my questions and doubts about being able to cling to the Lord and witness to the truth under penalty of the ultimate sanction.  He said that we should never ask for the dying grace of God before we actually need it (Matthew 24: 9-14).  If or when we face contemporary versions of the Sanhedrin with its demands for recantation and capitulation, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God will give us the thoughts and the words to say when we are not capable of otherwise standing up to those who seek our very lives (Mark 13: 9-11; Luke 21: 12-15).

     Polycarp understood this; the Lord was faithful to him in his ultimate hour of need.  In the case of the former’s death, we read that:

In the Martyrdom, Polycarp is recorded as saying on the day of his death, “Eighty and six years I have served Him, and He has done me no wrong”, which could indicate that he was then eighty-six years old or that he may have lived eighty-six years after his conversion. Polycarp goes on to say “How then can I blaspheme my King and Savior? You threaten me with a fire that burns for a season, and after a little while is quenched; but you are ignorant of the fire of everlasting punishment that is prepared for the wicked.”

Polycarp was burned at the stake and was pierced with a spear for refusing to burn incense to the Roman Emperor. On his farewell, he said “I bless you Father for judging me worthy of this hour, so that in the company of the martyrs I may share the cup of Christ.”

     These words have haunted me at night for almost 40 years since first reading them late one evening in a dormitory room on the highest peak in Berkeley, California that overlooked the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco.  It was an irenic visual scene I enjoyed for almost a year.  But my night thoughts about the Apostle John and Polycarp of Smyrna were anything but irenic.  Would I really ever have what it took to confess the faith under their circumstances? 

     I don’t recall having read this sort of thing recently in any of Joel Osteen’s books I have perused at Barnes and Noble (laughter).  I couldn’t find a single thing on Polycarp when I checked several of their stores around San Antonio either.  His witness runs counter to everything I see in contemporary American “culture,” which like its ancient Roman counterpart is increasingly evil and antithetical to the Gospel.  But if we follow John’s witness on Patmos, and the subsequent witness of the 2nd century Bishop of Smyrna, we will experience the fruits of the endurance (ὑπομένω) that God promises His people in their darkest hours, and in the darkening skies of the present historical horizon (Matthew 24:13).

     Finally, there is the fourth truism (4) bequeathed to the Church of Smyrna by the Lord.  It is also your promise and mine :  “Be faithful unto death and I will give thee the Crown of Life” (Revelation 2: 10).

(γίνου πιστὸς ἄχρι θανάτου καὶ δώσω σοι τὸν στέφανον τῆς ζωῆς.)

     It is this foundation alone which gives us peace, the peace (εἰρήνη) which only the Lord gives and which the world and its Prince with his targeted tribulations and attacks can never know (John 16:33). We are guaranteed to experience these trials and tribulations, and an intensification of such in the context of the approaching eschatological signs of the end of the age.  But Jesus assures us he has overcome the world, an assurance He gives to the disciples just before experiencing the most agonizing death in all of history, a death to be followed by the evidence of his overcoming of sin and the world in the reality of the Empty Tomb.

     Take heart today my friends. Be encouraged. As deception, wars and rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, persecutions and martyrdoms of believers, apostasy, evil, and lovelessness continue their present upswing (Matthew 24) leading to the appearance of the Antichrist in history, we will “overcome and will not be hurt at all by the second death” (Revelation 2:11).

     We have gathered again in Wisconsin today to reaffirm the truths of God to His people in Christ, and to rejoice that as orthodox Lutheran Christians, we are but a small slice of the Confessing Church in history and presently, focusing only on the things of the Lord in Word and Sacrament and our love for one another, even in the midst of a nation and a world that increasingly does not know Him and which is coming to despise who and what we are.  We must be discerning about the truth and the hour.  We must be ready.  And together, we shall be.

     There was an ice storm accompanied by howling winds in San Antonio late tonight on this January 15th, 2018 that will continue into the wee hours of the pre-dawn morning.  I wasn’t sleeping but thinking, as I stared out the bedroom window at the dreary darkness enshrouding the Alamo City, known in many circles as Military Town USA because of the overwhelming presence of the United States military and intelligence establishments here, including the NSA’s Global Internet Surveillance Headquarters.

     In my Night Thoughts, my mind was spinning with a kaleidoscope of Articles and Broadcasts Past, as Charles Dickens would put it.  There were bits and pieces of the last 16 years, ranging from thoughts of Pearl Harbor and FDR, to the Kennedy Assassination, 9-11, Marquis McCants, the American Sniper , and the interview on the Closing of the Zionist Mind  I granted to Jonas E. Alexis almost two years ago.  Painfully, I remember colleagues and friends who have departed this life while fighting the good fight with and for me, especially Pastor Dale Crowley, who was truly faithful to Christ unto Death.  Much farther back, there were two mentors I never knew, who collaborated on the creation of Human Events years before the latter’s corporate takeover by Regnery/Phillips and then Salem Communications, with the usual subsequent implications for Corporatist, Neo-Conservative and Zionist hijacking of a once great newspaper.  You’d never know it now, but Human Events was originally dedicated to what the American Right was when it was high on principal, ideas, civility, and free domestic and international discourse and exchange.  Frank Chodorov and Felix Morley are virtual unknowns to the denizens of Fox News and a statist Republican Party.  What a shame.  How revealing. True Prophets tend to be forgotten, ignored, rejected, and reviled fellows.  Just ask Jeremiah, or Christ Himself. I’m proud I haven’t forgotten any of them, or their legacy. I can still read by the grace of God.

       And then there’s my old friend, the legendary Karl Hess.  The last time I saw him was in a pub in Washington, D. C. where we agreed to meet once last time for an assessment of life’s journeys and some of the stories only Hess could tell.  Who else can one name who at various stages of The Quest worked with Barry Goldwater, Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), Tricky Dick and Jerry Ford, and the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), before moving on in time to the Black Panthers and Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)?

     I told him that I loved Dear, America (1975). Our only major parting of the ways, among good friends who had frank exchanges, is that his related experiences moved him to a position of resolute atheism.  Mine over many years moved me closer to Jesus Christ.  I hope the Lord had a good talking with Karl before he was called home.  As for the rest of the book and the Hess conclusions, I can’t argue with most of the rest of it.

     When I think of him now, years after his passing, I’m reminded of my favorite Tom T. Hall ballad, “Old Dogs and Children and Watermelon Wine.”  He told me on that last memorable encounter that he had discovered in the end that “It was all a crock of shit.  And most of the people in this business are swimming in it.”

     In my Night Thoughts, I imagine Hess and me in a San Antonio bar earlier this evening with some German beer after following and observing the MLK Marchers here.  I suspect I know what he would have said.  “Kid, I was on a search my entire life, like most of these folks.  But I don’t think any of them could find their Butts with Both Hands. You and I know what will lead them down the sinkhole since you’ve read Chodorov.  I can still recite him from memory.  ‘The State is the great predatory enemy of the human race; The State is, in its very being, the organization and regularization of predation, exploitation, and robbery.  The State is a profoundly anti-social institution, the canker in the heart of any attempt at peaceful cooperation by free individuals in society.’  Let’s have one more for the road and get the hell out of here, after we toast the end of The Empire and every useful idiot and sheep herder in it.“

     Then my mind was deluged with a kaleidoscope of recent productions, ranging from two recent efforts by Dr. Philip Giraldi of the Council for the National Interest, entitled, “Expect Even Less Freedom of Internet in 2018” and “What’s Wrong with Liberal Jews?” to the latest from Father Stephen Sizer, the latest from Jonas E. Alexis on “False Flags, Covert Operations, and American Exceptionalism,” and even my own recent chat about the obvious with Tasnim News Agency on “New US-Israeli Scheme to Destabilize Iran with Sanctions and Black Operations“ which is now reposted amazingly enough, by the Times of Islamabad. This last offering has been buried by American search engines like Google as near as I can discern, but the Russian Yandex search engine reminds the world that such a character as I continues to barely exist, armed only with a Word Processor and my Biblical, Theological, and Prayer Volumes in my darkened bedroom during another ice storm and bout with winter winds in South Texas. I am strangely reassured somehow, that both Google and Yandex agree on the merits of “The Church of Smyrna Speaks to the Confessing Church of Christ in this Darkening Hour.”

     Now back to my brief nocturnal observations on Martin Luther King Day in San Antonio on this January 15th which has now become the beginning of January 16th in the darkness and cold.  Like other major cities in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, the theme of Free at Last, I’m Free at Last was the recited mantra of the collective, both in the Alamo City and around the country, along with an enthusiastic and sycophantic Corporate Media.

     As an admitted Dinosaur and aging Prophet of the Old Right well into the 21st century, I really wonder how many of these largely well-meaning folks really believe this sort of thing.  Are they, or most of the rest of us Free at Last?  Or are we all in individual and collective bondage to the demonic American Warfare-Welfare-Surveillance-Perversion State?

Is America “Free at Last” as it raises a New Flag as United We Stand?

     Clearly, my own ideas are a part of the public record over time.  I reflect tonight on such dated but relevant Night Thoughts of the past like “Obama and the Jews:  Social Engineering in the American Military and the Coming War with Iran,” what I said about the Ceremony of the 4 Chaplains on February 11th, 2001 here in San Antonio, and my conclusions reached in America the Beautiful, Why We’re Finished. I reflect on the things David Stockman just penned on the economic serfdom awaiting so many of the folks who think they’re Free at Last, or Charles Bausman’s reflections on why certain taboos need to be dropped and replaced with open conversation and examination of the present and the past, as well as the future.   Maybe some of the best of the MLK Marchers in San Antonio who are decent folks and able to converse with the ideas of others in a living room or a quiet table in an out-of-the-way restaurant or cafe might be interested in what Dr. Thomas DiLorenzo has told us about the mythology of The Empire on Saint Abraham Lincoln and the American War Between the States.  The encyclopedic works of Ray McGovern may well suggest to the MLK celebrants that they aren’t Free at Last in any sense of the repeatedly chanted mantra, but are in fact the coming cannon fodder of The Empire in expanding American military operations for the America’s Ashkenazic Reich in Central Banking, the Israeli Lobby, the Frankfurt Institute’s Institute of Social Research, George Soros, and the armaments manufacturers. Sheldon L. Richman’s “The Old Right Was Right” for the Mises Institute deserves being added to a good reading list at night when average Americans of every skin tone and ideological stripe have the deepening and ominous sense that something is desperately wrong and worsening.  And I did write my aforementioned treatise on Marquis McCants as a special warning of a friend to dispossessed Americans of every color and creed with all of these Night Thoughts over the passing years in mind.  I guess they missed it at the time here in San Antonio, where the funeral and the burial of a fine young man needlessly sacrificed were held.  I hold it out again to the best of the folks here who participated in the MLK March as one who admits that I generally march to the tune of a different drummer and have for most of my life. I dance neither with the Central State and The Empire, or those who beat the drums for both in Hollywood and on MSM. I wish these participants could sit down with Frank Chodorov and Karl Hess, and the best we can still offer them still in the fight while there is but a brief moment in time.  But I suspect it is too late for the Masses.

     As for the Masses and the tragedy of assassinations, coup d’etats, and wars past and present, the folks joyously posing for the MLK Marches on television around the country being eagerly covered by a fawning MSM may want to ask the deeper question of why CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek and other Corporate Puppets haven’t asked the questions or presented the disturbing data on the murder of their Messiah posted by Craig McKee in Truth and Shadows and re-posted by Lew Rockwell today.  Spending some time researching taboo topics listed at the National Security Archive at George Washington University and elsewhere may also produce a reassessment of the commitment of these Marchers to a leviathan government and its far reaching tentacles.

     And then there is Biblical eschatology. Brother Nathanael attempts to reissue his latest video warning to all who will hear and discern.  He and I have the same perspective on this subject and how the clock is ticking in these final days.  Warnings on deception, wolves, demonic forces, and the impending unveiling of Antichrist provide the wisdom of the Apostle John in his Apocalypse on Patmos to people both in Ancient Rome and throughout history who embrace Empire Worship, even if they don’t know it yet.  To the folks of the MLK March in San Antonio who truly believe they are Free at Last, I beg them to hear what I believe are the Lord’s voices calling from the desolate wilderness of an American national scene heading at breakneck speed for the Abyss. Being truly Free at Last comes only when Christ returns, Antichrist and his followers are consigned to the Lake of Fire, and the Lord’s people are with him in the New Jerusalem and the New Earth forever and ever.

We’re Free At Last!  We’re Defending Their Freedoms! We Have the Responsibility to Protect (R2P)! Thank You for Serving!

     I am most honored to be with you today as an invited guest on this Sunday afternoon.  Let me say at the outset that it has been a long time since I’ve been in front of a group of evangelicals in a home or classroom setting to provide an overview of a Biblical book or a topic of history or systematic theology.  Years ago when a most improbable set of circumstances brought me to the now defunct Texas Bible College in the Alamo City to teach Biblical courses, apologetics, church history, and communications for several years, I had the pedagogical experience of my life in front of a group of young people who saw learning the material as an exciting journey and odyssey of a lifetime.

     What I remember most is what Lutheran pastor and theologian Helmut Thielicke once referred to as “intense listening.” I covered the context of Pastor Thielicke’s phrase in a presentation I delivered to a Lutheran gathering in the Middle West 4 years ago.  In a nutshell, Dr. C. George Fry chronicles that context in his article on Thielicke in the Handbook of Evangelical Theologians (Baker, 1993) on pages 219-233.  Dr. Fry explains how and why this great man was in academic and professional exile in the early days of World War II, how he came out of exile under circumstances that can only be explained as the work of God in history, and how through his teaching skills and personal acquaintance with the Gospel, the Stuttgart Cathedral lectures to the beleaguered German people transpired even as Allied air raids drew ever nearer to them.  Fry noted that:

Helmut Thielicke: Preaching the Gospel near Midnight in the Stuttgart Cathedral during the apocalyptic Allied Air Raids.  He experienced “intense listening” never seen again.

     “As he lectured [in Stuttgart Cathedral] on its five principle parts [Small Catechism of Luther]–the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper–‘evening after evening some three thousand persons gathered together; workers and businessmen, students and professors, soldiers and generals, Nazi functionaries (naturally in civilian clothes!) and Jews, Dutch compulsory laborers . . . and sometimes whole classes from the schools.  It was an overwhelming time for me.  Never since have I experienced such intense listening.’      Soon the massive air raids began.  When the streetcars could no longer run, people ‘came on foot, often from many miles away, through the fields of ruins and rubble’ even on dark and frightening winter evenings.  But then the [Stuttgart] cathedral was destroyed.  Thielicke wrote, ‘I can still see the towering torch of this venerable house of God.  . . . I stood there holding in my hand a key to a door that no longer existed.’”

The original Stuttgart Cathedral is located in Stuttgart-Bad-Canstatt. Its history goes back all the way to 1470. After massive destruction during the Second World War, the church was rebuilt in 1954/55.

     The lesson is this:  When there is great opportunity for evangelical believers to gather together around a meaningful study of the Word of God, that is an opportunity to be seized at the moment in time it is offered.  Just as the Stuttgart Cathedral was torched in a single evening of air raids, so it was that Texas Bible College closed under less dramatic circumstances after a handful of semesters of teaching for me there.  Thielicke noted later in his life that those times of “intense listening” would never come again.  I never experienced it again either, although I sense in our group this afternoon that the Lord has many mutual blessings for us in the handful of occasions when I will be your guest in this house to share my thoughts and materials with you.  And please keep in mind that just as there was a sense of great apocalyptic and eschatological expectation among the German people who flocked to the Thielicke lectures in Stuttgart Cathedral, there is a strong scent of apocalyptic and eschatological expectation in history among those of us in the Remnant Church most desirous of spending more time in the Word of God and in fervent intercessory prayer.  I addressed this very thing in the last public theological presentation made to anyone in 2017 in “The Church of Smyrna Speaks to the Confessing Church of Christ in this Darkening Hour.”  Later in the year, I would be given 5 minutes to speak at a Lutheran convention in a foreign country with reference to this article.  In addition to the shortness of time allotted, the convention folks were preoccupied with choosing a new president and adopting a new organizational structure.  John on Patmos and the application of the Apocalypse to the present historical situation of the Remnant Church in the Western World and elsewhere wasn’t apparently on their agenda for the week.  I know it is on yours or I would not have been asked to come here.  The point is this:  You know the hour.  You want your loved ones to have the best grasp of Scripture possible as persecutions and circumstances worsen.  And I’d rather be with 7 folks here in this house on a Sunday afternoon than all the denominational meetings and conventions extant.  Put slightly differently, I tend to hate those gatherings.  Enough said.

     My second introductory point pertains to the political realm in the world, our need to be presently informed and watchful observers of the events within it in this country and abroad, and to take note of Paul’s warnings in Ephesians 6 about the demonic realm’s influence and operations within world governments.  Why?  Because: 1) The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and both the Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament Apostolic Writers underscore the importance of discernment in battling demonic deception in world history at every point on the linear time line which runs from the Fall to the Second Advent of the Lord.  2) No Biblical writing can be properly studied and even partially understood without constant reference to the historical context and events that enshrouded the particular author, including Jonah. And what Biblical principles at these various stages of redemptive history properly inform the Remnant Church now as to what God is accomplishing at present through individuals, collective entities, world leaders and empires, and technological advancements making global surveillance systems, economic manipulations, media misinformation, and military weapons of mass destruction and mass murder ever greater threats to the survivability of the planet? Does not the age of the Tower of Babel in Genesis, Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in Daniel, and Nero and Domitian of the Ancient Roman Empire as chronicled by the Apostle John on Patmos in Revelation, provide us with prototypical clues regarding the New World Order and the impending unveiling of Antichrist?   And to reiterate, 3) the Lord in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24/Mark 13/Luke 21) mentions the concept of deception more than that of any other idea in his chronicling of the run-up to the end of history and His return.  The principle and the lesson is this: Assiduous study of the Word of God, acquiring proper tools in doing so, developing solid principles for applying the Old and New Testament to legitimate contemporary applications, including discerning the larger meaning of present and future events in history, are within your grasp and mine as we work within our mutual limitations as best we can, and ask the Holy Spirit of God to reveal what He desires that we truly hear, see, and take to heart in the times in which we live.  Only these things can and will enable us to penetrate falsehoods and deceptions in these end times and to recognize false prophets and wolves when they insiduously infiltrate and attack.  Rest assured that they are, and that they shall. And as we shall see shortly, interpretation and understanding of the context of the story of Jonah is inextricably linked with the political developments of his time as they pertained both to the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the nation of Assyria.

     In closing this second point of introduction, let me note what many of you already know from things you have read or heard about me.  I have been intensely involved in the political realm for many years, for reasons directly related to what I believe about eschatology, and what I believe are the particular forces Satan has been working through in both the United States specifically and the West generally to destroy Christian societies, civilizations, and churches, especially since the earliest portion of the 20th Century onward.  My last post in this arena was this past January.  I do not know if there will be any more, or any additional TV or radio commentary.  My mission in all of this may already be past. It is my hope that people in the future who come across my work since 2001 will understand the context of why I embarked upon this journey in the critical years in question, and what I was trying to accomplish as one of a relative handful of voices exiled in the desert in wintertime.  Time tells.

     Beginning today, I hope to equip you with a basic structural methodology for studying any Biblical book.  The book you have selected as a test case example is Jonah.

     Before beginning our quest to examine the Book of Jonah more closely, let me say several things about tools for studying Scripture and consulting the best sources available to you or me.  The first is the Annotated Bibliography.  I emphasize Annotated because this term underscores that one is not simply provided with a list of books on a particular subject or discipline, but helpful comments and guidance on the strength and weaknesses of a particular book, the ideological background of the author(s), and the particular tradition or school of thought out of which said author(s) comes.  As but one example, is the author an evangelical/orthodox scholar theologically, as we understand that term shall be used in this class, or does he/she come from the realm of Higher Criticism and Historical Criticism which provide a brand of scholarship with far different presuppositions and conclusions than any of us would accept as viable?  Among evangelicals, what is a Dispensational Premillennialist?  An Amillennialist? What is the context of the Calvinistic-Arminian controversy over free will and election?  What is the difference between a Lutheran and a Zwinglian in interpretation of major Biblical passages pertaining to the Lord’s Supper?  What are the different schools of interpretation that have existed in history to explain the Prophecy of 70 Weeks in Daniel, chapter 9?

     These are just a few of the important ideas to have an acquaintance with in any evaluation of what we read in any commentary on these subjects at hand.  Hint:  All of us come to the Biblical narrative with a background and historical framework, whether we are conscious of this or not, or frank enough to acknowledge the obvious. Just in brief Internet search I found an interesting list with comments here. Check out another possibility for Jonah research here.  The evangelical Denver Seminary has a list of Old Testament commentary recommendations here.  And the famous evangelical Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, an offshoot of Princeton historically, has a variety of tools available to any of us.  I introduce two suggestions at this point with Annotated Bibliographies:  1) Those prepared by known evangelical schools and sources are likely to be best for our use.  2) Having said that, please do not cheat yourself of the insights and contributions to be made in understanding a subject often contributed by scholars we do not agree with in key areas.  Example:  The great Lutheran scholar and historian, Jaroslav Pelikan (later Eastern Orthodox), had a view of the Scriptures heavily influenced by historical criticism and at odds with that of more orthodox, evangelical Lutherans.  Having said that, if one engages in the study of historical theology, it is impossible not to avail oneself of his brilliant mind and research as exhibited in his 5 volume set on Church History, entitled The Christian Tradition:  The History of the Development of Doctrine.  I have this set, and am presently reading Volume 2 on my own, to learn more about Eastern Orthodoxy.  Do you know what I was exposed to on this subject in an evangelical seminary?  Absolutely nothing is the correct answer.  The lesson is this:  Protestant evangelicals are heavyweights in exegesis of the Word of God.  They tend to be extremely weak as historians in the area of the development of doctrine.  Take the predominant eschatological position of evangelicals on the final events of world history, especially as they pertain to the modern State of Israel vis a vis the Israel of God.  How many know the beginning of the rudimentary elements of this position first emerge in the writings of a Jesuit priest in the 16th century, subsequently to be systematized by John Nelson Darby and popularized by the Scofield Reference Bible in the 19th century?  One evangelical source for examining this subject and providing a fair treatment to both sides of this debate may be accessed here.  The Annotated Bibliography for this single key subject alone is enough to fill a few libraries in and of itself. Enough said.

     Where tools are concerned, the multi-volume Zondervan Charts are critically valuable.  I have been collecting them for years.

     And finally, if one desires to learn enough Greek and Hebrew through a reputable online course, the best tools for subsequent word studies and research include the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (Harris, Archer, Waltke), the updated version of the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis (Moises Silva, ed.), and the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (10 vols, Kittel/Friedrich).  The classic Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon, the accompanying Index to the Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon, the infamous Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature (Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich or “BAG”) and An Index to the Revised Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich Greek Lexicon (John R. Alsop, Zondervan) round out some of the basics for those who want to dabble in these scholarly arenas. We do not have to be world-famous scholars to use these.  Over time, I can easily show you how.  By the way, the Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich (“BAG”) edition is a first edition.  Later, there was a second edition in 1979 that involved my late Lutheran colleague William Danker, hence the later acronym BAGD.  And to make matters even more ridiculous for you, when a 3rd edition of A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature was subsequently issued in 2000, the acronym for the 4 scholars was rearranged for reasons beyond me. This 3rd edition is referred to by insiders as BDAG (Bauer-Danker-Arndt-Gingrich).  Go figure.  As for me, I still have the 2nd edition known as BAGD.  This is for reasons of nostalgia that go back almost 37 years. The legendary Dr. Douglas Moo (follow your Annotated Bibliographies for the New Testament) was the one who beat me to death in summer Greek Exegesis courses in 1981 after I barely passed the crash course of 2 years of college Greek in 2 previous semesters at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School to qualify for Moo.  He found it humorous when I slipped him a note to suggest early termination of a class that academically overwhelming summer of 1981 to get to a Cubs game in Wrigley Field that particular afternoon.  The note read:  “Dr. Moo.  May we BAG this for the Cubs’ game today?  Dankof. (BAGD from that time on wasn’t for Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich-Danker but for BAG [this]D[Signed, Dankof].” His response:  “Funny, but I have BAGGED your suggestion. Dr. M.“

     If you would like to explore the possibilities for yourself or your kids in learning enough New Testament Greek for the use of some of these tools in word studies, my written transcript of today’s conversation will contain a link here.  Again, this may never be your desire, but I always chronicle these things in order that someone will have a resource to consult months, years, or decades later.  I still use my notes, my course syllabi, references on note cards to something discovered in a particular resource, flash cards, and updated Annotated Bibliographies as needed, to get to the bottom of something in my personal studies.  Two classic examples involve a single piece of paper where my late friend, Pastor John Eppler, tutored me for a week in the Hebrew alphabet and its phonetic sounds, to enable me to pass summer months of constant Hebrew immersion with Dr. Samir Massouh at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in the summer of 1982.  Sadly, we lost Pastor Eppler in late 2004.  After John got me through the alphabet and Hebrew immersion with Dr. Massouh, I would enjoy OT 711, or “Poetry and Post-Exilic History” with the latter that fall.  Sadly, Samir Massouh now struggles with esophageal cancer and chemotherapy at the St. Francis Hospital in Kenosha, Wisconsin, north of Chicago. How I miss these men.

Dates of OT significance to memorize in the Fall of 1982.

     One nostalgic story about Samir Massouh is in order.  In my last Hebrew course in the summer of 1982, the final exam contained a lengthy translation.  I “Aced” that portion of the exam.  Several days later, he asked me to come to his office.  He seemed troubled.  I knew what was bothering him.  He noted my never-before-noted-and-sudden brilliance on that portion of the exam.  He also ventured that he believed me to be 1) an honorable person and 2) an improving but still mediocre Hebrew student at the graduate level.  With those hypotheses ruminating in his mind, he asked if I had an explanation for my sudden foray into Hebrew exegetical skills matching his own, or Gleason Archer’s.

The Crucifix and the Sacramental Altar of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Wahiawa.  Every Wednesday morning, The Venite was sung by the children in the Matins Service (Psalm 95).

     My answer was truthful and explanatory:  “The answer is the Venite which I sang every Wednesday morning in 3 years of grade school at Trinity Lutheran School in Wahiawa, Hawaii in the 1960s during the Chapel Matins Service.  It’s contained in the Matins Service on page 32 in The Lutheran Hymnal.  The Venite is Psalm 95 used as a canticle in the Western liturgy, usually for Matins.” (Massouh’s test translation for the last Hebrew exam of the summer of 1981 was Psalm 95. Virtually none of the pan-Protestant evangelical students taking that exam knew anything about historic liturgy, especially in the Evangelical Free Church of America, the Bible Church tradition, the Conservative Baptist denomination, et. al.  But the singular Lutheran with a childhood background in Western Liturgical Worship knew it by heart.)

     Samir Massouh’s countenance reflected a combination of humor and relief.  He said, “So this explains why you were humming while you were writing.”  My response:  “Exactly.  After two lines, I recognized the entire pericope.  But I could best bring everything back to total recall by humming the melody of the liturgical setting for Psalm 95 used then for Matins.  It went much faster than trying to recite it without the music.“

     I asked him if I would still receive my A.  He said with a smile and beaming eyes, “Yes. and get out of here.”  My response as I was opening the door to leave was “See you for Post Exilic History this fall.”

     There is a postscript to this story.  In the following spring of 1983, Trinity Journal (TRINJ 04:1/Spring 1983, page 84) came out with an article by Dr. Massouh. It was entitled, “Exegetical Notes Psalm 95,” and began with introductory comments on worship:

     “Recent publications have reflected a renewed evangelical interest in the nature and manner of worship. Some have advocated incorporating charismatic enthusiasm while others have promoted the use of more liturgy. It is in the light of such revived interest that this study of Ps 95 is given, in order to establish some biblical principles about the nature and manner of worship.”

     I ran into him on campus shortly after the article was released.  I observed wryly, “You’re the first Trinity professor who ever plagiarized any of my stuff.” He got the humor.

     Lesson:  Never forget the most special people God has ever placed, or will place, in your life.  Think about the principles of instruction provided.  I will say it again.  I will never forget those men, and those times.  And if the truth be known, one of the great mistakes in my life was not staying there for a much longer period of trial and hardship to develop the skills and the calling I did not realize were emerging until many years later. I have one thesis to finish and one more language exam to finance and sustain in preparing for whatever remains of my life in the time left. Only God knows how this will be possible or where in this present world it leads, but He assures us he is in the Impossibility business (Luke 1:37).

     Now we move on to a brief roadmap of introductory structure and notes for the Book of Jonah, which as indicated earlier is in prototypical form and concept what I do in the study of any Biblical book.  (Aside:  If you’re counting, my Word Processor informs me that you and I have now covered not quite 3500 words.  Again, the electronic version of this conversation will enable you to get to the Links to some of the resources discussed here in the living room of this house.)

When God calls us to go to a destination 550 miles away, His purposes through us will still be accomplished if we run 2500 miles in the other direction. [Book of Jonah]

A Roadmap of Structures and Concepts for Studying a Biblical Book:  Test Case is Jonah.

Place of the Book in the Canon and in the Redemptive History Timeline: For your Prototypical Analysis, think Patriarchs and Israelites/United Monarchy/Divided Monarchy/Babylonian Captivity/Intertestamental Period.  Jonah:  Divided Monarchy.  Northern Kingdom of Israel. Minor Prophet.  

Title:  Named after its principal character. Jonah means “dove.” Compare with Hosea 7:11; Psalm 68:13 and 74:19.

Date: 800-750 B. C. for the prophetic ministry of Jonah.  Authorship of the book prior to the destruction of Samaria and the Northern Kingdom of Israel at the hands of the Assyrians in 722 B. C. Hint:  Compare evangelical commentaries with those of higher critical/liberal persuasion on this issue.  The date of the revival in Nineveh recorded in Chapter 3 is believed to coincide with the reign of Ashurdan III (773-755 B. C.). Interesting speculation:  Did two plagues in Assyria (765 and 759 B. C.) and a solar eclipse in 763 B. C. prepare the people for Jonah’s message of repentance or judgment?

Author:  The book does not identify its author.  Tradition assigns it to the prophet himself. (Consult both evangelical and non-evangelical commentaries and sources for the debates on this which ensue.  One recommendation:  see Gleason Archer’s section on Jonah in his Introduction to the Old Testament [Moody Press] if you can locate this volume.  It is especially valuable for providing responsible academic representation of evangelical arguments for the reliability and accuracy of the Biblical narratives as it rebuts the most enduring objections of Higher Criticism and Historical Criticism. I can provide excerpts of these if needed. Archer discusses authorship issues in his comments on Jonah.  Don’t dismiss these arguments as personally irrelevant.  You or your kids may well need a handle on some of this to provide rebuttal to the unbelieving cynics some of you will encounter in circles of American “higher education.”  Enough said. Hint:  The arguments you will encounter revolve around higher Biblical critics who claim that Jonah was authored the 5th and 3rd centuries B. C., as a historical fiction espousing universalistic views to counter the “narrow nationalism” of Ezra and Nehemiah.

     Jonah is identified as the son of Amittai (1:1) from Gath Hepher (2 Kings 14:25) in Zebulun (Joshua 19: 10,13). 2 Kings 14:25 references him as a prophet in the reign of Jeroboam II of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Here, we read that under Jeroboam II, the borders of Israel were expanded according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which He had spoken through his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath Hepher (3 miles north of Nazareth in lower Galilee).”  Keys:  the reign of Jeroboam II, Jonah as prophet of the Northern Kingdom, Jonah as a Galilean. Hints:  See John 7:52 for a good case of Pharisaical error.

Historical Background:  Know your Kings of Judah (south) and Israel (north) after the end of the United Monarchy!  There were 20 Kings of Judah.  8 were good. 12 were bad. As for the Northern Kingdom of Israel, all 19 of their Kings from the end of the United Monarchy to the onset of final destruction of the Kingdom and Samaria in 722 B. C. at the hands of the Assyrians were bad. See here.  [There are all kinds of historical gems and discerning contemporary application of these gems of instruction.  One could look at the last 5 kings of Judah, beginning with Josiah (good) and 4 terrible successors leading to the Exile.  Possible application:  Think about the succession of American leaders in recent times, the state of the American Empire, and what many American Protestants have embraced as the doctrine of American Exceptionalism.  Is that ideology Biblical? How does it square with the reasons for the rise and fall of Empires Biblically? Is this idea a foundational basis for present day susceptibility to deception? End of point.  . . . as for Jonah, zero in on Jeroboam II (782-753 B. C./co-regency/41 years in the electronic source, Archer says 793-753 B. C. in his Introduction).  Consult the historical background section of the Commentaries you select out of our list.

     The reign of Jeroboam II is pivotal to the context of both Jonah and Amos.  What are the key points to underscore in understanding the historical backdrop of these prophets and their respective proclamations?

     1.  The key nations (3) in the historical backdrop are the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Damascus (center of Aramean power), and Assyria.

     2.  Circa 797 B. C., Elisha spoke to the King of Israel about future victories over Damascus (2 Kings 13: 14-19).

     3.  The Assyrian military campaign against Damascus in 797 B. C. enables the King of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Jehoash (798-782 B. C.), to recover territories previously lost to the King of Damascus (2 Kings 13:25).

     4.  Jonah prophesies the restoration of the Northern Kingdom under Jeroboam II predicted by Elisha (2 Kings 24:25). Internal troubles in Assyria enable Jeroboam II to complete the restoration of Israel’s northern borders.

     5.  The Northern Kingdom of Israel subsequently falls into a period of nationalistic arrogance, complacency, and spiritual decadence after the restoration under Jeroboam II.  The prophetic implications are covered by Amos and Hosea.  Amos prophesies an exile beyond Damascus (Amos 5:27).  He will proclaim that God’s patience with the Northern Kingdom is at an end (Amos 7:8; 8:2). Hosea indicates that the tool of God’s judgment will be a politically and militarily revived Assyria (Hosea 9:3; 10:6; 11:5).  It is in this context that God sends Jonah to Nineveh, the capital of Assyria, to warn it of the imminency of its own eventual judgment.  Hint:  To contextualize why Jonah attempted to run from God’s command and flee to Tarshish, run a Search Engine probe for “Assyrian Empire Cruelty.”  This will bring up many fascinating articles, including one I just discovered for you at Realm of History.  Or try this article from the Biblical Archeology Society (Jan/Feb 1991) which is in PDF format.  

Christ in Jonah:  Gleason Archer tells us in his Introduction to the Old Testament on page 313 that ” . . . one cannot reject the historicity of Jonah without also rejecting the authority of Christ.”  See Matthew 12: 38-41 (and the Luke account).  Hint:  Isolate the word “sign” for further examination (σημεῖον).  Jonah is the only prophet whom Jesus likened to Himself.  What are the implications? Compare this account to the aforementioned John 7:52. Think Jonah and Jesus in terms of Typology.  Further suggestion:  The eschatological warnings about “signs and wonders“ in the New Testament.  What are the implications?  (For now, simply file this in your notes for future study.)

Matthew 12:  The deeper implications of the word “sign” (σημεῖον) may lie within the pages of the revised version of the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis (Moises Silva, ed.)

Structure of the Book:  Let’s keep this simple.  Some of your commentaries will be more elaborate, but simplicity of structure is often best retained in the mind during study.

1.  Jonah flees. (Chapters 1-2)

2.  Jonah reluctantly fulfills. (Chapters 3-4)

     Related structural issues:  40 verses tell the story of a single, extended episode.  8 additional verses cover Jonah’s prayer of thanksgiving, giving us a total of 48 verses.  Jonah’s employment of structural symmetry and style are often compared to the Book of Ruth.  The story is told in two parallel cycles (Chapters 1-2/Chapters 3-4) of comparisons and contrasts.  There are 3 Confessions of Jonah (1:9; 2:9; 4:2.) The “Middle Confession” of 2:9 is decisive. It proclaims that “Salvation is of the Lord,” and emphasizes that the word of the Lord is the last and final word on anything.

Key Verses:  2: 8-9, and 4:2.  (Last 2 Confessions of Jonah)

Key Chapter:  Chapter 3.  Revival in Nineveh.

Key Ideas for Discussion and Reflection:  Is it possible to succeed in running away from God?  Are there limits/no limits as to what God can use to get an individual’s attention?  An Empire’s attention?  Does failure disqualify someone from serving God?  What are the consequences of running away from God?  What is the experience of the individual who attempts it?  Can nationalistic patriotism impede the relationship between the believer and God’s plan?  Does Jonah’s testimony reveal a universal concern for all people on the part of the Biblical God?  What are the implications of the fact that Nineveh responded to the preaching of Jonah better than the Northern Kingdom of Israel or the Southern Kingdom of Judah did with any of their prophets?  Is there a prototypical parallel here with the various reactions to the preaching of the Kingdom of God by Jesus and His apostles recorded in the New Testament? Hint:  Compare the reaction to the message of Jonah by the Ninevites to that of those who claimed to be the Sons of Abraham (John 8: 31-41). Implications?  Is there a link to 722 B. C., 586 B. C., and A. D. 70? And possibly to Matthew 24/Mark 13/Luke 24/2 Thessalonians 2/Revelation 13?

     We are now at the end of our first session together.  It is my hope that this overview serves its purpose, not only as an introduction to the Book of Jonah, which we will examine in greater detail in future sessions by studying the text verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter, but as a Prototype for the Catacomb Church and the Homeschooling Community in covering any Biblical book.  This process is essential to laying out the roadmap for all of the study, all of the discussions, and all of the developments for further study that will inevitably follow.  Sometime in the future, I will develop a Prototype for a Topical Study in Scripture which will be shared with you when completed.

     44 years ago, I fell in love for the first time one summer, with a physically beautiful girl from Dallas, Texas.  We met in Iran, at an Armenian Church Festival still held in the northwestern part of that great country in summertime. Her father and mine worked for two different aerospace companies there in the days of the Pahlavi Dynasty. It was an idyllic odyssey in the beginning.  The ending proved to be very different.

     Some six months later, after winning a Super Bowl betting pool at my university near the Chicago Loop, I used part of the money to travel to Dallas for a visit.  The end result was that I discovered I’d been fooled by external beauty and the Texas accent and the rest of the sheer externals that went with this young woman.  I was devastated at the time, and later told my college roommate who picked me up outside the Windy City after a return airport shuttle ride that the person I encountered in Dallas was not even the same person I felt I knew in Iran.  Moral of the story:  When one is fooled by that which disables thought, reflection, and critical evaluation, deception is well on its way to taking place.  Look deeper.  Search.  Let time sort out truth from untruth, true beauty from concealed ugliness, good from evil.  That is an excellent truism and maxim, whether one is talking about the choice of a romantic companion and potential marriage partner, to the evaluation of a political leader or Empire in history.  How did our Lord Jesus Christ put it in the Olivet Discourse?  When it comes to deception, we are to “watch” and “wait.”

   There is a corollary moral to the story:  Loving a person or a country leaves us susceptible to mythologies about them, self-created or otherwise.  Mythologies often blind the smitten to the truth.  In the case of the mythologies surrounding the American Empire, blindness to the truth has taken on new levels of deception entering the realm of the demonic in history.  The results just since September 11th, 2001 have been all too evident–except for those still living in mythological delusions synthesized with the accompanying ability to justify anything, no matter how evil.

     The American Empire clearly now has 5th stage terminal cancer, as my ill-fated romance in Iran did all those many years ago.  All of the signs are there, ranging from the over-extension of military commitments, the ignition of wars that have nothing to do with self-defense of the homeland, a national debt that David Stockman believes will stand at $40 trillion in the next decade, the ongoing development of an American Domestic Police State which threatens the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the absolute power of the Israeli Lobby over our most critical institutions, the wholesale legalization of abortion-on-demand since January of 1973, and the collective embrace in American society of every brand of moral and sexual perversion imaginable, culminating in the Obergefell decision by the United States Supreme Court.  Then Vice President Joseph Biden correctly attributed and credited this pivotal moment and revolutionary change in American society and mores to a certain group of people.  I agreed with Biden on this and said so on Iran’s Press TV at the time.  The only difference was that Biden saw this as a wonderful advance in increasingly progressive American and Western societies (read “anti-Christian” and “Culturally Marxist.”) . On the polar opposite side, I saw and see it as the targeted and revolutionary destruction of everything involving the historic influence of various types of Christianity and natural law in American institutions since the late 18th century.  The Jerusalem Post pilloried me, even though they covered Biden’s public statements on the subject in Israel to great acclaim.  You can figure why.

     Which brings us to this 4th of July 2018. As an American who has witnessed the metastasizing of 5th stage cancer in the Empire since the 1960s, I must freely admit that the three holidays in this country which produce the most sadness and profound depression for me at this stage of my life are the 4th of July, Veterans’ Day, and Memorial Day.  Donald Jeffries covers the bases on many of my feelings today at Lew Rockwell in an essay entitled Our Plastic Patriotism.  Suffice it to say that cardboard patriots in Star-Spangled Attire mouthing platitudes about “freedom” not only fail to understand that Washington, Adams, and Jefferson would not even recognize what this country has become internationally or domestically, but proceed to a mindless and terrifying embrace of the notion that utilizing the American military as a Regime Change Janissary force for Israel, the banks, and the multinational oil, gas, and mineral consortiums is a laudable thing.  Starting a war of aggression with Russia utilizing NATO would be just terrific by these folks.

     Jefferson knew otherwise.  Even a cursory look at his writings reveals his grasp of the truism that a country involved perpetually in foreign wars of aggression has a government also bent on destroying the liberties of its domestic population. And yet the flag waving and mindless chants of  USA!USA! on this day fail to grasp the dark truth that the United States is the leading nation on the face of the earth in the exportation of the instruments of death and the accompanying ideology of preemptive wars for the promotion of usury, sodomy, Palestinian land theft, and World Government eventually culminating in the appearance of Antichrist.

     Just a few days before this fateful 4th of July, I encountered a young man at an exercise gym near Randolph AFB in the Alamo City, also known as Military Town USA.  After identifying himself as a member of an Evangelical Baptist Church in San Antonio (read “pro-Zionist” and “pro-Empire“), he proceeded to engage me in conversation on several political subjects that pertain to these very issues.  I told him of some of my past appearances in recent years on Press TV available on YouTube and elsewhere, and jotted down a random sample of some of my articles and interviews in the last decade which include The Closing of the Zionist Mind;  Memorial Day from San Antonio: The Final Resting Place of Marquis J. McCants and the Death of the American Republic; Patmos, The Emperor Worship Cultus, and The American Sniper; Why We’re Finished; FDR and Pearl Harbor: The Primer for the Zionist Assault on the American Republic and the Nation of Iran; Mark Dankof’s Final Word on Michael Collins Piper’s Final Judgment on Israel and the Assassination of JFK; a review of The Real Lincoln; a past radio show on Israel and 9-11; a conversation with Iran’s Kourosh Ziabari on this latter topic; an interview with the Tasnim News Agency of Iran on Western duplicity, and interviews with everyone from David Duke to Bedros Hajian of Armenian Christian television in Los Angeles. I also included a couple of articles I thought an Evangelical might actually warm up to, including The Church of Smyrna Speaks to the Confessing Church of Christ in This Darkening Hour; and An Overview of Jonah as Prototypical Primer for Catacomb Church and Homeschool Study.  For good measure, I threw in a graduate paper of mine on Dispensationalism, just to challenge his eschatology.

Evangelicals against the New World Order and Cultural Marxism: Putin’s Russia is Their Ally. When will they figure this out?

     Our chat became particularly spirited when the subject of Russia came up.  He initiated this. It was fascinating to see that this young Evangelical Baptist’s perception of both President Putin specifically and Russia generally was taken right off the 3×5 note cards of either Hillary Clinton or William Kristol. I explained that in my view, Russia was not only a post-Communist society coming out of a 70 year tragedy, but that Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church were jointly leading the country into a pre-Bolshevik spiritual, moral, and political renaissance based on Christianity.  I went on to say that Putin’s Russia was the last and best bastion against the New World Order itself, deliberately targeted by globalist forces for this very reason. Using his smart phone, I pointed him to both Russia Insider and Russian Faith as necessary alternatives to American Mainstream Media (MSM) for his careful consideration.   As we parted, I reminded him of Francis Bacon’s famous dictum:  “Read, not to believe and take for granted; nor to contradict and confute; but to weigh and consider.”

     I ran into him again at the gym on July 3rd.  He seemed nervous, distant, even slightly hostile.  I greeted him on my way to the jacuzzi after my floor workout.  He later caught up with me there but didn’t seem to be the gregarious sort he had been some 72 hours before.  When I inquired as to how he was doing, he suddenly came out with, “My father and my pastor told me to stay away from you and stop reading and listening to these things.  They said you must be some sort of Communist.“

     I was trying to keep an Old Right Prophet’s straight face when I said, “You know, kid, your father and pastor are wise and cautious fellows.  They’re just trying to protect you from concluding that worship of Jesus and Old Glory may not be one and the same thing.  That would be a shame after all the work they’ve done in educating you to ‘know the truth, the truth which shall make you free.'” (John 8:32).  The young man never detected the amused sarcastic intent.  I parted with him with a sincere handshake and a smile.  Maybe he is on the beginning of a journey that will take him to a better vantage point in this present life, and the next one.

    And at the end of July 4th, 2018, I take one lesson away from all of this.  If one is indeed encouraged in matters of truth, theology, culture, politics, war, and history to read and to think, to weigh and consider critically from any and all sources of information and knowledge available, it may in fact quite rightly be perceived as a most dangerous and subversive concept. It is apparently considered inherently suspicious by the Citizens of these United States on this hallowed day of Flag Waving and Caesar Worship.

Alireza Hashemi: The 40-year standoff between Tehran and the US has entered a new phase. Washington has just reinstated the remaining part of anti-Iran sanctions suspended under the nuclear deal, with US officials describing anti-Iran punitive measures unprecedented in history.

Apparently, Washington likes Iran to be stuck between two choices: Caving into US demands or starving to death and probably suffering a subsequent US military invasion.  

The Iranian Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said Iran will by no means enter into talks with the US and that Washington will never dare to attack the country.

There are calls inside and outside the country that Iranian officials would do well to get real about the US demands and drink the cup of poison sooner rather than later. They say the US “maximum pressure campaign” has already inflicted acute strains on Iran’s economy. What’s your view? What should Iran do? Will Iran prove capable of enduring the sanctions?

Mark Dankof: Let me say at the outset what a privilege it is to speak with you and the people of Iran from my heart about this terrible situation.  Your newspaper, the Fars News Agency, the Tasnim News Agency, IRIB radio, and Press TV have all been most gracious to me and a handful of others in the United States who have spoken out against the Zionist New World Order and the menace it poses to both of our nations.  Quite some time ago, it was my privilege to grant an interview with Reza Saidi of the Tasnim News Agency on a letter to youth written by your Supreme Leader on Western duplicity.

This duplicity has only worsened since the unilateral and illegitimate cancellation of the JCPOA/P5+1 nuclear treaty with Iran and the subsequent wartime sanctions on Iran placed upon it by an American government clearly under the heel of the Zionist Lobby which controls both the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Government of the United States and the 6 Media Consortiums under Zionist control which came together due to the American Communications Act enacted during the Clinton Administration in the 1990s.

Those of us on the Alternative Right in the United States who are anti-Zionist, and unalterably opposed to the New World Order have been most effective since September of 2001 in circumventing Zionist control of the airwaves and print publications by developing our own networks and utilizing social media to get the word out regarding what has happened and is happening in the West generally, and America specifically.  We have been so effective that in the last year, the draconian economic, political, and military actions being taken by the United States against Iran and Russia are now being directed against American dissidents opposed to these policies.  It is now a matter of public record that the Israeli Government, Israeli Intelligence, and Jewish-controlled organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai Brith (ADL) have been working hand-in-glove with Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, and Google to eradicate broadcasts and articles from these entities that expose the Zionist entity’s plans for further war in the Middle East, and the destruction of elements both in the United States and around the world that have stripped them naked for the entire world to see without Mainstream Media Blinders of Deception.

A classic example of this is a recent broadcast I did with Dr. Patrick Slattery of National Bugle Radio on the Republic Broadcasting Network that was subsequently uploaded to You Tube.  It is entitled, “Saraqib as Sarajevo?: Constellis and the Olive Group in the False Flag Shadows in Syria.”  Using mainstream publicly available sources, that radio show underscored the identity of these organizations working with the so-called White Helmets in Syria to pull off a chemical weapons incident that would falsely be blamed on the Assad regime.  Within 24 hours of the posting of that broadcast, YouTube banned it from something like 40 countries in the world with no explanation of why.  You and your readers will know why.  Another broadcast undertaken by us for the Republic Broadcasting Network told the truth about the real John McCain right after his death, along with the plans of Zionist John Bolton to ignite a war with both Russia and Iran.  That broadcast suffered the same YouTube censorship.  This week, Dr. Slattery and I discussed the implications of the fine video by Alison Weir of If Americans Knew entitled, “Israel’s Censorship War.”  I suspect it will also be negated by Israeli censors working obviously and publicly in the United States and globally.

I go into this detail with you and the readers of Jam-e Jam to explain what it is that I and others are up against in getting the word out about what is going on and what is being planned.  There are other things I cannot discuss openly, which you may imagine.  It is bad enough that I am actually writing about the grave possibility of eventual martyrdom of Christians in the United States who oppose the New World Order for Russia Insider and Russian Faith.

Alireza Hashemi: US officials have openly talked about the need for regime change in Iran. It seems they currently hope that the Iranian people will distance themselves from their government and enact pressure for change from within the country that will yield the results desired in Washington. Are such hopes realistic? Will the US see the end of the Islamic Republic without shooting even a single bullet?

Mark Dankof:  Iran can defeat the New World Order.  There are a number of reasons I say this.  First, the attempt to declare war on Iran by covertly backing acts of terror in your country by the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK/MKO) and the Sunni Wahhabic terror groups operating in Syria courtesy of the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, shall only strengthen the resolve of Iranians across the political spectrum to oppose these obviously criminal acts and conspiracies being directed from abroad.  Secondly, the American military is obviously floundering in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.  The public in the United States is getting increasingly restive about these miserable wars and the seemingly endless character of them.  Iran has a much stronger military capability than any of these countries.  I believe Iran does possess the will and the means to block the Strait of Hormuz in the event of an American-Israeli war of aggression.  That would tank the global economy, cause a skyrocketing price in oil per barrel, and send the American Petrodollar into the proverbial dumper.

Last but not least, it is Putin’s Russia and China who are the wild cards in this entire matter.  They both understand that what is targeting Iran illegally, illegitimately, and immorally is yet to be aimed at them.  Look at these outrageous NATO military exercises in the Black Sea, the Baltic, on Mr. Putin’s borders, and the CIA-coup launched in Ukraine.  Look at the American Navy’s popup cruises in the South China Sea.

I feel that President Putin will call Washington’s military bluff if there is an attack on Iran.  American aircraft carriers and their task forces might be blown out of the water by the new and highly touted Russian hypersonic missile assets.  The actions of BRICS to marginalize the American Petrodollar as the Reserve Currency of the World will be intensified by Russia and China for the sheer survival of countries resisting the Zionist-Globalist game plan.  At that point, a United States Government which will have a $40 trillion dollar national debt by the end of the decade, and a deeply divided country politically, culturally, economically, and demographically, will begin to come apart like a cheap suit.  And last but not least, as Paul Craig Roberts has hinted, the real American Right which is as much of a Zionist target as Iran and Russia are, will take up arms to attempt a Second American Revolution and the restoration of the Old American Republic.  The Zionist Bully will get its comeuppance at the hands of both international resistance and the rising up of the phenomenon Dr. Roberts referred to in a recent article.

Alireza Hashemi: Many members of the international community oppose the US withdrawal from the nuclear accord and its restoration of anti-Iran sanctions. Europeans seem to be serious about keeping JCPOA in place. Some other countries, notably Turkey, have openly censured the US sanctions and seem to be ready to defy them. The US government was forced to exempt 8 countries from oil sanctions, despite earlier announcements that no country will get such exemptions.

Will other countries heed to US demands? Is Washington still the sheriff in the town?

Mark Dankof:  Washington is still the Sheriff in Town but not for long. It is obvious that Europeans and others under the thumb of the Zionist New World Order being directed from Washington up to now have begun to figure out how deeply they and their people will lose it all if this lunacy planned by a Zionist Occupied Government, as Pat Buchanan so aptly puts it, is put into its final phases of operation.  When domestic American political opinion finally turns on their Zionist leadership, these guys are finished.  Properly speaking, those who love the Old American Republic and want to destroy the 5th Column in their own country, recognize that Putin’s Russia, Iran, and Syria are their partners and their friends.  Together we can put this Beast out of business once and for all, but at an admittedly terrible price.  That price, however, is nothing compared to the price and the blood to be exacted by appeasement of an evil entity that will stop at nothing short of its own annihilation in history.

Alireza Hashemi:  Some believe Iran and its allies will be able to shape the New World Order in case they manage to resist the US pressure and pass the current stage of crisis. What’s your take on that?

Mark Dankof: Iran will manage to resist the Zionist New World Order as it has no choice but to do so.  A post-Communist Vladimir Putin led Russia, experiencing a pre-Communist renaissance of nationalism guided by a return to Russian Orthodox Christian Culture, has no other choice.  Mr. Assad and the Syrian people have already paid an awful price in lives and destruction in resisting these demonic people and their global plan for a World Government they control.  They are not about to quit now. And the anti-Zionist, anti-New World Order American Right that wants its country back understands what is at stake as well.  Together, we must unite in complete resolve to defeat a Global Zionist Beast which has as its foundation a cancerous Culturally Marxist, fascist Multi-National Corporate Conglomeration held together by its coercive Central Banks, accompanied by a desire to destroy anyone and anything in its path. With our unequivocal resolve, we can and will annihilate them.

     It is a Saturday night here in the Alamo City, also known both in this country and outside it as Military Town USA.  It is noteworthy and more than understandable that I have been invited to speak on this topic in a private home, devoid of any advance or subsequent publicity, and without the sponsorship of any educational or church organization in this 7th largest city in the continental United States.  There is ample reason for this.  We unfortunately live in a climate of fear where tonight’s topic is concerned, a climate which produces only occasional furtive glances and whispers in rooms with darkened shades among those who sense as Christian believers that something is deeply wrong in our land, so wrong that our educational and religious leaders have not only maintained sustained silence on a healthy discussion of a topic that shall not go away, but in many cases have served as sycophantic cheerleaders for that which I believe to be evil.  For some, it is the desire to be popular in the community.  For others it is the danger of being libeled and slandered that is paramount.  For yet others, it is the fear of losing a tax exempt status courtesy of the IRS and the Federal Surveillance State which is well represented in this city. Many pastors and teachers sadly confuse Empire Deification and Emperor Worship with Biblical faith and American “patriotism,” which suggests that the core lessons and warnings of the Prophets Jeremiah, Amos, and Daniel, along with John’s writings on Patmos during the reign of Domitian (81-96 A. D. ), continue to be missed, along with the basic teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ about what really constitutes the Kingdom of God and who the Israel of God is really comprised of.

     I pray we shall not miss what I truly believe to be the teachings of the Holy Spirit of God conveyed by these Biblical writers, or what I believe is being conveyed about both Martyrdom and Empire.  So we quite rightly gather on a Saturday night on our own time to examine that which is not being examined elsewhere around San Antonio this evening, as the days and nights continue to unfold before the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

     My opening premise tonight is this:  The American Empire and its linkage to the Zionist State of Israel is intrinsically evil.  These entities are at the center of the drive to the New World Order, which in turn encompasses the ideology of world government; central banking; a controlled news media; the Culturally Marxist ideologies of radical feminism, abortion-on-demand, the LGBTQ agenda, societal acceptance of pornography, and an inherent opposition to authentic Christianity.  These entities seek to enslave the entire globe with this Satanic ideology, utilizing internal subversion, wartime economic sanctions, a global surveillance police state, and overt threats of military force against nation-states who do not acquiesce to the Beast.  Iran and a post-Communist Russia being revitalized by Russian Orthodox Christian spirituality and culture are but the latest targets. The symbols of the Christian Cross and the American Flag and Constitution shall be those chosen to sell lies to the American public and the American churches as to what this coming battle is about.  Make no mistake about it.  The New World Order is about neither.  It is the avowed enemy of both, no matter how many United States Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy recruitment ads appear during NFL games suggesting otherwise.

     I have not come to this conclusion lightly or without personal study or sacrifice.  I will simply invite you to peruse a recent article of mine, “A ‘Communist’s Thoughts on the 4th of July,” both because of a young man I discuss in that essay who is a microcosm of the deception of millions of Americans who believe they are following Christ in this arena when in fact I believe the opposite is true, and also because that essay contains many links to presentations and articles I have been preparing since 9-11, often times at considerable risk over these years.  Read these articles; listen to many TV and radio broadcasts since The War on Terror began 17 years ago.  My work will lead you to that of many others of equal or greater importance than I.  Begin this journey in earnest and you will encounter a world deliberately being withheld from you by your schools, your churches, most of your textbooks, as well as the news media most of you encounter when at all. I simply ask all of you to follow the dictum of Francis Bacon:  “Read, not to believe and take for granted, nor to contradict and confute, but to weigh and consider.” Bacon’s prescription, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God, is a portion of the Full Armor of God available to the believer in an unprecedented age of evil, deception, and mass communications technology designed to disguise Satan as an Angel of Light ( 2 Corinthians 11: 14) on both a national and global basis.

     After all, how many of us have really examined the historical “truths” in our textbooks and presented on television about the Federal Reserve Board, the World Wars, Pearl Harbor, the Kennedy Assassinations and that of Martin Luther King?  Have you ever heard of Deir Yassin?  The Lavon Affair?  The USS Liberty Attack?  The Pollard Spy Case?  The real story on 9-11?  Or these Gulf Wars which began in earnest with Desert Storm under George Herbert Walker Bush in January of 1991?  What is really the truth about why our government has taken such a bellicose stance on Iran and Russia in recent years? Why has our government supported ISIS and Al-Qaeda affiliates in destroying Syria?  Why are we supporting the genocidal war of Saudi Arabia in Yemen?  Who is really behind the Pussy Riot desecrations of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Moscow and why?

 My second premise is this:  The American Empire today is a 21st Century repristination of the empires God has judged throughout history.  If you believe your homework assignment as a homeschooler with parents curious to find out more about about a demonized Christian pastor and commentator named Mark Dankof ended with my own recommended articles, you’re wrong (smile).  I assign you to take a closer look at the conditions mentioned by the Prophet Amos during the reign of Jeroboam II, and his prophesies about the coming judgment of the Northern Kingdom of Israel at the hands of the Assyrians who would sack Samaria in 722 B. C.  I also assign you to read the relevant Old Testament texts about God’s impending judgment upon the Southern Kingdom of Judah (605 B. C. to 586 B. C.) and the reasons for it.  Lastly, take a look at the words of our Lord in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) as they pertain to the pronouncement of judgment upon Judah coming in the form of the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem by Titus and the Romans in A. D. 70, or the character of the evil Ancient Roman Empire which serves as the backdrop of the martyrdoms of Peter and Paul, and the exile of St. John to Patmos described in Revelation for his refusal to venerate Emperor Domitian as the virtual Incarnation of God on earth.

     Think about it:  If my analysis is correct as the Spirit of God has guided me over many years, why drape the American Empire in the Christian Cross and the American Flag?  More importantly, why should Christian parents, pastors, and churches urge the participation of our kids in killing, wounding, and displacing millions of innocent people overseas who threaten neither our faith nor our real homeland security, but whose sole transgression is failing to acquiesce in a New World Order which identically threatens Christianity itself, both in the United States, in Putin’s Russia, and on a global basis generally?  I believe this is a repudiation of the words of the Lord Jesus Christ about the nature of the Kingdom of God, and a repudiation of the Just War Theory of St. Augustine which has guided Western Christian thought for centuries on the issue of when and why a believer in Jesus Christ may take up armaments.  Perhaps even more significantly, an Empire which has become largely Antichrist in its society and in its political leadership and apostate churches, cannot possibly invoke God’s name or His blessed protection in unjustifiable and aggressive conflict and expect righteous victory to come its way.  God Bless America in the current situation in this country presumably carries absolutely no weight with the Holy Trinity, a situation which as already mentioned mirrors the worst conditions of the aforementioned empires in Biblical history recommended for study and examination.

     I am no pacifist.  I believe in St. Augustine’s Just War Theory.  I come from a lifelong Air Force family.  I am no stranger to weaponry. I would fight for the legitimate defense of the United States against domestic criminals and foreign aggressors as I would for the innocent in our own community in San Antonio whose lives are being threatened and who are defenseless.  As a personal example 3 years ago, I almost had to shoot a criminal malefactor to death who was in the process of beating a woman to death in the parking lot of my apartment complex in San Antonio, even as a 3 month old infant lay injured underneath the couple’s car.  I truly thank God everyday that circumstances that prevented that justifiable development from having to happen did take place.  You may read about it briefly here.  The point is this:  What the American Empire and the Zionist State of Israel it supports in the Middle East have been doing for years has no such similar Biblical, moral, and legal justification.  Take a close look at the grim reality of this truism in Palestine, Gaza, the Occupied Territories, and East Jerusalem, along with Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Southern Lebanon, or Ukraine.  The coming war with Iran and Putin’s Russia will bring this evil New World Order agenda to an apocalyptic crescendo.  Christians should refuse to take up arms on behalf of this, and protect the rights of their children and church members to tell Caesar he shall not have that which belongs to Christ and Christ alone. Period. This is not Augustine’s Just War Theory operating in what we are examining here.  It is mass murder, past, present, and undoubtedly future, largely for an entity that claims a divine right to Palestine and surrounding territories, even though it rejects the Gospel of Christ in favor of a doctrine of racial supremacy, world government, a kingdom of this world not the next, and a kingdom whose instruments are not love and brotherhood but armaments of mass destruction and mass surveillance in the interest of theft by terror and death. It bears no resemblance to the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, but to Barabbas and the Jewish mob clamoring for his release at the expense of He who knew no sin. This Satanic counterfeit of the Israel of God shall even set the stage for the appearance of Antichrist, and his usurpation of the temple of God to show himself as God (2 Thessalonians 2). St. Paul warns us in this very chapter of Satanic power, signs, and wonders, and God’s sending of a strong delusion upon those who have already rejected His Son for His Son’s very antithesis.  This delusion will lead to the destruction of those who believe the lie.

     Let me add one sobering thought for your long term consideration tonight. My final premise is this:  It may not simply be enough to refuse to kill innocents on behalf of the American Empire and its Emperors.  The Lord may require that we be willing to die a death of Martyrdom Witness by the hand of this Empire at a time of His choosing.  Stephen, Peter, and Paul come to mind instantly as New Testament examples.  Revelation 2: 8-11 and The Cry of the Martyrs found in the 5th Seal of John’s Apocalypse in Revelation 6: 9-11 are verses which accompany these Saints of God in constant reverberations within the heart, the mind, and the soul of those in closest union with Christ.

     And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  . . .

     And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

     And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

     And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

     I believe these cited verses, among others, provide us with a New Testament doctrine of witness and faithfulness unto death.  It is not an accident in redemptive history that the first example this post-apostolic faithfulness unto death proves to be St. Polycarp of Smyrna.

     Polycarp (A. D. 69-155) is one of the 3 chief Apostolic Fathers, along with Clement of Rome and Ignatius of Antioch.  His name translates into Greek as “much fruit” (Πολύκαρπος).  The two chief works which enable us to have some access to his life and death in Christ are The Martyrdom of Polycarp (Μαρτύριον του Αγίου Πολυκάρπου) and his Letter to the Philippians (Επιστολή προς Φιλιππησίους). You are assigned each of these for reading and contemplation, as your parents work these into your homework schedules.  Of the many things that are exciting about homeschooling, the experience of an entire family learning together is chief among them.  So shall it be here also.

The Lord Jesus Christ to the Church of Smyrna and The Israel of God Through the Ages:  “Be Thou Faithful Unto Death, and I Will Give Thee the Crown of Life.”

     Irenaeus indicates that he heard Polycarp in his youth.  Tertullian informs us that Polycarp had been a disciple of John the Apostle, our author of the Gospel of John, 1st-2nd-3rd John, and the Revelation on Patmos.  Jerome later conveys to us the fact that John had ordained Polycarp the Bishop of Smyrna.  Keep in mind that the Church of Smyrna in Revelation 2 was the economically poor but spiritually rich church, the church in Asia Minor warned specifically about the Synagogue of Satan, and the church instructed to be faithful unto death against the backdrop of an evil Roman Empire.  It is the prototype of the remnant Israel of God at the end of history, as the people of Christ watch spiritual darkness and apocalyptic political developments engulf the planet while clinging to the Word of God, the Holy Sacrament, and the testimony of Prophets, Apostles, and Saints.

     Lutheran scholar turned Orthodox, Jaroslav Pelikan notes this backdrop of the execution of Polycarp in Credo:  Historical and Theological Guide to Creeds and Confessions of Faith in the Christian Tradition, page 223:

     When, in the first postbiblical account of a Christian martyrdom, The Martyrdom of Polycarp, the Roman proconsul, Statius Quadratus, the political and spiritual descendant of Pontius Pilate and the representative of Emperor Antoninus Pius, orders the aged Polycarp, “Swear by the fortune of Caesar!” Polycarp instead confesses “with boldness, ‘I am a Christian.  And if you wish to learn what the doctrines of Christianity are, appoint me a day, and you shall hear them.'”  And so he went to his death.  The twentieth century, which saw the rise of both Nazi and Communist totalitarian regimes that were inimical to Christianity, also therefore produced several such confessions that were political acts in this special sense.      And so we come to the end of the hour with the question of the day being this:  While virtually everyone here will accept at face value the evil character of Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon, the Ancient Roman Empire, or the Hitler and Stalin regimes, is the American Empire somehow a beacon of light and hope to the world as our educational system, pastors, and churches often insist that it is, or is the verdict of the Activist Post more devastatingly accurate over 7 years ago in its essay, “10 Reasons America Will Be Judged as the Most Brutal Empire in History?”  Put another way, will our young people be doing the will of the Lord in serving in The Empire’s War on Terror, or is the way of Polycarp, the way of Peter and Paul, and the exilic path of John, Solzhenitsyn, Sununu and Assange, His will for the lives of those who gathered here tonight if the situation so requires?

American Christians:  Shall They Support the New World Order’s War on Putin’s Russian Orthodox Christian Renaissance?

     For the Christian living in the United States, that question will not go away.  I hope each person here tonight will avail himself or herself of the links to articles and broadcasts over time necessary to examine the question at hand, and to search the Scriptures prayerfully and diligently.  I am thankful that a remnant of people in this city have sought to examine the evidence for themselves and to allow the Lord to lead them in the truth over time as He wills.  And in these dark days and nights, with the eschatological time clock of God ticking to the end of this present cosmos and the beginning of eternity, let us think tonight not only of our own families and friends, but those around the world already mentioned as among those most presently persecuted and endangered.  The Lord’s admonition of Revelation 2:11 echoes once again in our hearts, our minds, and our souls:  “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. . . .

     And so we close tonight with that prayer.  May we have ears to hear.  May we hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  May we overcome.  May we be spared the second death in the Lake of Fire.  For the end fast approaches.  Amen.

The Mystery of the Word Who Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us, The Light Who Permeates The Darkness.

What the hell? Let’s have a war with Russia, Iran, China, Venezuela, the Constitution of the United States, and any American who believes in the Bill of Rights, all at the same time!

     The assault on freedom of speech, freedom of association, and the right to oppose Israeli crimes and wars in the Middle East courtesy of American arms, money, and Zionist political support, has reached a new and ominously draconian level this week with the arrest and Federal detention of Press TV Iran’s anchor Marzieh Hashemi. Of the international news agencies who have covered the story since this past January 16th, Fox News would seem to have the most details presently known in this murky affair being conducted in the netherworld of the American National Security Police State.  Hashemi is an American citizen, and was attempting to fly from St. Louis to Denver to visit a brother terminally ill with cancer, when arrested at Lambert International Airport.  According to Fox, the FBI subsequently transported her to a presently unknown Federal detention facility in Washington.

An American citizen arrested and Federally detained without legal charges brought forth.  What was Marzieh Hashemi’s real offense?  Allowing free international TV discussion of Israel and 9-11, the Lavon Affair, the Lansky-Ben Gurion-Dimona link to the Kennedy Assassination, the USS Liberty attack, the Pollard spy case, the MEK assassinations of Iranian scientists, and the use of Al-Qaeda and ISIS against Assad?

     I will state again the summary of what I told Iran’s Press TV on this matter on open international TV on January 17th, on National Bugle Radio on the Republic Broadcasting Network with Dr. Patrick Slattery on the same date, and in subsequent conversation with Jonas E. Alexis of Veterans Today:

Locked Up Because She Spoke Up:  Take note, American Anti-Zionist, Anti-New World Order dissidents.

     First, the arrest of Marzieh Hashemi of Press TV and her subsequent detention is a violation of International Law and the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution.

     Second, the significance of the arrest and detention without charges is heightened by her status as an American citizen.  Every American should understand that what is directed against her now could and will be targeted at he or she tomorrow.

     Third, I am telling my responsible colleagues on the American Alt Right and Left that this arrest, in conjunction with the actions of the American National Security State against domestic activists in Alternative Media in working with Facebook, Google, Twitter, You Tube, and their “experts” at the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai Brith (ADL) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to hinder freedom of expression in matters related to the Zionist State of Israel, the domestic Jewish Lobby in the United States, and the marriage of the advocates of War for the American Empire with the Zionist Beast, represents a level of desperation and lawlessness not seen at any previous time in American history.

     Fourth, this level of desperation and lawlessness indicates that the desire of the Zionist New World Order Beast to facilitate a war with Iran and possibly Putin’s Russia, now knows no boundaries.  In conjunction with the employment of the MEK to assassinate Iranian scientists on Iranian soil, the illegitimate cancellation of the P5+1 deal with Iran, the subsequent illegitimate imposition of economic sanctions on that country, and the employment of ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria against the Assad regime, the Marzieh Hashemi arrest and detention suggests 2019 will bring a level of escalation against the Tehran government by the Netanyahu government in Israel and Jewish Neo-Conservatives in the United States to the brink of actually achieving the war they have desired for so long.

     There are four wild cards that can and will bring down the New World Order:  One: An Iranian military capability and national will to fight consistently stronger than is understood in the United States, Israel, or the West generally.  Two:  A military intervention on behalf of Iran by Mr. Putin’s Russia.  Three:  Ongoing political and economic bankruptcy in the United States in a new phase of armed conflict which will exacerbate both. (For openers, David Stockman predicts a $40 trillion dollar national debt for the Washington Regime by the end of the decade.)  Four:  The Anti-Zionist, Anti-NWO American Right will move into a new phase of resistance, along with their counterparts on the American Antiwar Left, once the real shooting commences in the launching of a wider global conflict leading to World War III.  For real Christians in America not enamored of the American political elite, Zionism, or wars launched by both, I have recently warned of this in an essay on Christian Martyrdom and the American Empire.  The bumpy road for Marzieh Hashemi this week is about to be everyone’s bumpy road as the countdown to conflict continues apace.
